How much so? Do you like retro styled cars, like the new versions of the Beetle,Mini, and Fiat 500? Or do you like vintage clothing? How about trying to live your day to day life the way things were in the middle decades of the last century? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1042702/Time-Warp-Wives-Meet-women-really-live-past.html?printingPage=true What do you think of this kind of lifestyle? thanks for responses!

I am not really a fan of the new style of things from the past as I prefer the original! I used to own a classic mini and she was ace! Great little car to drive and unfortunately thr new mini just doesn't do it for me! lol x

I passed my test in an "old" mini, and still have a soft spot for them, and smile seeing a well maintained one pass by on the road..I've yet to drive one of the New ones, though! The classic lines of an old car recreated in a new one gives some character to what could otherwise be an anonymous 4 wheeled box..take a badge from many cars nowadays, you'd be pushed to decide what it was! Do You think, though, that those people with their liking for the original things and lifestyle from the 40's/50's might be taking it a little too far?

Sometimes yes but, then I suppose if they are happy it makes no difference! lol x

I don´t know how much I like retro and how much retro gets into my ecveryday life for many reasons. I have a 12 year old car because I don´t have money for a new one. Some of my furniture are leftovers from my childhood (I´m 64) and some of my clothes have 40 years (still new, by the way). But along with that I have new things. People give me all sorts of awesome gifts. One day my brother called me to please accept a persion rug he had just bought because he found he was allergic to it. I don´t dress myself retro in any way. I wear what I like and some thing are timeless. I use some ethnic clothes mixed with one colored pants and blouse so that the shawl is shown. My swimming suit is 6 or 7 years old but it was an expensive garment and I love it. The people in the web chose to live in the past. I think it´s weird, to say the least. I live with all the meaningful things of my past mixed with my present and using them to undersand my future.

I'm thinking those people in that article would like to get their hands on a time machine-it's like they don't want to live in the now and are using their lifestyle as some kind of shield against modern life.Your last statement sums up how I feel about things from your past-thanks for posting!
