This is a shot of my yellow pear I picked the other day. This shot was taken on my kitchen counter. They are really tasty. I had never grown this variety before and the plant is thriving greatly. The size is a little larger than a standard cherry/grape tomato. Is this the usual size or do they come in a larger size? Ever have a yellow pear tomato before? They have both a sweet and tart taste to them as well. Yummmmmy! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I haven't ever had one. Honestly, if I saw one on a plate and somebody didn't tell me what it was, I would have thought it was a pepper.

I have never heard of this kind of tomato until you posted about them when you first started your garden. I did go to the garden department in the local Walmart and I saw that they did have those tomato plants, next year I will plant some. Have you taste any yet? Do they taste like regular tomatoes?

That is te cutest little tomato. I have never seen that variety before, let alone taste it. Are you planning on saving some seeds for next year?

No, I never have had a yellow pear tomato. I don't think I've ever even seen one until now. I had some cherry tomatoes last night, the last of the ones I bought a couple of days ago. And as usual, when I took them out of their netted bag, not all of them were fit to eat. Unlike all the stuff you grow! Oh, to live near you. I bet people would do a lot of work for you in exchange for your produce! : )

I had never even heard of this type of tomato until you had the discussion about trying them this year. I am not sure what I would think of the sweet/tartness of them, guess I will have to try to find some and give them a try.

Oooo, I want to try some of those. It reminds me of the year I thought I was planting sweet green peppers and instead, found out that they were yellow banana peppers, lol. What a surprise! But they were delicious. Karen

I have never grown that type either. I am not sure if I have ever ate them either. I may have. We grew Big Boys this year. I have got a few tomatoes off of there but there are alot of green ones that stillneed to ripen. It has alot of blooms too though.

Yes I have had them before. I think that is the regular size. At least I have never seen any bigger.

Hi GRANDPA BOB, I must say I have not seen anything like it and never tasted one, well I haven't seen one in our local shops, it does look like a pear. Tamara
