are women treated equally in the society?

Not in some place in my country. This is what makes me, a woman, sometimes feel so angry! it's because of the old tradition or maybe major religion in my country. In the capital city this is not really clear because all the information can be reached easily, plus there're so many foreign people so you can't see this so clear. But this thing happen in some of the small meeting held by small government's body (it's called RT in my country. RT is part of government body that do straight contact with households in certain area). When this RT hold a meeting, usually woman not given any chance to speak their mind. woman just write or given only little chance, In some province when modernism haven't touch people in this area (there's no internet connection, there's no brick-house), tradition when man is more dominant is still strong. Woman just cook and take care of children. but nowadays this is slowly change. but still, there's some minority tribe that stick to this tradition. I hate this condition. Really. It makes me feel humiliated such a thing still exist in my country.

In my own opinion, i think in our country women are given the equal rights. They are enjoying whatever men is also enjoying.They are being respected in the society. They are being honored on whatever achievement that they get.Here in our country, the president is a woman. She rules our country,in that case, that is one thing that women are being honored to us. Why did you ask this? Is this mean to say that in your country, women do not receive equal right? Is that right?

In our country still there are places where women are not treated equally with men, at workplaces also important duties are not assigned. Thankfully where I work there is no such things and women are considered important.

I can't really answer this question because I think women are treated well compared to guys in many situations, but they are considered low in some situations. If you see our country ten years ago, the situation of women has improved a lot. Men is more into decision making were women gets a lot of help and consideration from men. Reservation is good in some field. For example: politics. It will help women to come ahead in many fields, but I don't think reservation is needed in bus or queues in railway station. That is a discrimination against men. Everybody should the given equal chance - 'first come first go'
