Can you go to a good college with decent grades? | | Well my grades right now are around C's, B's and the occasional A or 2, Im trying to step it up in highschool where it counts the most, but im wondering, if i graduated with Cs most of my years, can I still go to a University? Or will i be stuck with a community college?

You won't be stuck at a community college if you really want to get into that university of choice, but it means really trying to get those grades to get into that school. Personally, I will be attending a local community college for 2-4 years (to get my basics out of the way) before I go to a university for my degree. You can do it if you believe you can.

They cost 80 dollars each and anyone can take them, but those in AP classes usually get to take them for free. If you pass, get a 3 out of the possible 5, it looks really good to the colleges you're applying to. Furthermore, if you get a 3 or better, some college allow you skip English 101, History 101, ect. They think you're profeicent enough and you enter college with credits. I was in an AP English class, took the test, passed and entered university with three credits.

At least then you can say in high school, you did average. In Junior College you did above and beyond average - that way you'll get in a prestigious school.
I honestly do think that's the best route for you.
However, if you really wanna go to a University (and spend all that cash), I'm sure there are private universities that will take you. Just apply - you will never know til' you apply.
Good luck!!
P.S. Don't give up on your university dreams - education is one thing that they can't take away from you!
