Would you return to your homeland and if so why?

Hi all, I have several friends who whilst Greek have spent most of their formative years in another country but have now chosen to return here for various reasons. If you are living in a foreign country, or even raised there, what would make you return to your homeland?

now i live in a foreign country, but i don't think i will come back to my homecountry recently.
i mean maybe in next five or ten years i will still in the UK to work hard to make living.
the only thing can make me back to my homeland maybe is that i do feel i'm needed by my country. I can really do something for it.
now i'm still on my way to learn the world. I don't totally know the western world, so if i came back what i can do? if i'm useless in my own country, why i came so far and not really know the uk.

Hi sblossom, so you left your own country for a better life financially and because you felt you had nothing to contribute to your own country but your heart is still there as your allegiance is still to your home country and you want to be needed by it. Good luck to you in the UK and hope you make a go of it there, maybe after a while the UK will start to feel like home to you when you adapt to Western ways.

I would definitely go back to my homeland because it is where my heart belongs. True that foreign lands provide us a greener pasture, but the joys and comfort of being at home, is priceless. My family, relatives, friends and my life are here. If there is one best place to live at, I still would choose my own country.
I am proud of my motherland- Philippines!

Hi chrissa, so your heart still belongs in your homeland of the Philippines. I hope that one day you get to return there, it is obviously the place that you feel you belong. Many people must leave their countries for the pastures greener scenario but many do return when they have the financial ability to do so.
