Who's music do u prefer? Mariah or Madonna???  

In terms of music (not personality) it's Madonna all the way. I'm just really not into the bubble gum music Mariah sings where every song she sings is either about how hot she is (seriously, the opening line in her newest song is "why are you so obsessed with me?") or her songs have cliche lyrics about the struggles of young love, and boys, and dating, and blah blah blah. I think my main problem with Mariah's music is that it's just too common. It's the same as so many other singers. Madonna, on the other hand, is impossible to duplicate. Truly unique.

Personality wise? Neither. Lol, they're both a little "look at how awesome I am" in their personalities, and I don't like that attitude on anyone, celebrity or not.

Mariah Carey's a good singer, but I feel that she brags about her vocal range too much. What I mean is, nearly every song she sings, there's at least one time where she shows off her D-above-the-staff (maybe it's an E or higher, I don't know, but you get the point), and it drives me up the wall. Sarah Brightman doesn't even do that, and she is--in my opinion, at least--more qualified to show off her voice.

So yeah...it's Madonna for me.

If your talking about the musical impact that they bring, I'll go for Madonna.

She is a legend!

But I also love Mariah! She's a good singer. NO DOUBT that she can really sing!

I prefer MC than Madonna. Both have talents but i like MC's style better.

Without any doubts, I'll say Mariah Carey all the way! Mariah is not only the best selling female artist of all time but also she broke more records then any female artistes and now she is the only artist that will most probably break the Beatles record for the most number one hits. Yes, I agree that Mariah does sing about love, sex and infatuation, but thats not the only thing she sings about, she do sing songs that are inspiring like Hero, The Mariah Theme (Can't Take That Away), Through The Rain and many others. I think Madonna sings more love songs or songs about sex and seduction more then Mariah and that she in fact more towards the wild side then Mariah, but still, I think she deserve the respect as one of the most successful female artist as well as a music legend.
