i got this game originally for my wife, and when she started palying it my son always sits down on her lap and watch how his mom plays. after a week or two i found my son is the one playing already, and i can hear that he can perfect some of the recipe. i am so proud that he has interest in cooking and he enjoys playing games that would really help his mind and he is gaining a lot of knowledge from it. some of my nephews plays games that are not appropriate for their age and i know some of it are violence. i am proud to see my son and hope he will be the next Jamie Oliver har har har. here is the link of the cooking with mama that i am talking about http://www.gamespot.com/ds/puzzle/cookingmama/index.html

I hope so too that one day your son will be the next Jamie Oliver, hopefully yeah.. Cooking games are awesome too, I do play a bit on Facebook; it's called Hell's Kitchen. Kids nowadays are more brilliant than when we were young. They are more exposed to technologies and stuff like that. Can be good for their brain development, with monitoring. I've never played Cooking with Mama but I heard it's an awesome game. I'll check out the link you slotted there soon..

It's so cute and smart that your son is playing the game when he's so young. I think playing game can really help to develop their brain and creativity, also it can be a good activity to interact with the parents too. Thanks for sharing the game, I've heard about it, and it seems to be quite fun.

Thanks for marking this as the best response. I'm thinking of buying puzzles, to build the puzzles together when he's older. He's 6 months old now. Of course, some physical games are good for kids too. ^_^

That's great. I agree that some games are a little violent for a child and I think that everything they do right now..at least at his age..shapes his mind and determines who he will be. I don't really have a problem with violent games..I play them..but I do think that age and understanding is very important where these games are concerned.

We have this game for WII. My kids, whom I got it for since they are always wanting to help cook, love this game and I too love the fact that it is constructive. No violence, or strange morals just fun.

Your son probably is a prodigy, expert in video game or cooking . Who know may be few more years later he become the younger chef in a five stars hotel in Manila, cooking food not only tourists and hotel guests, but for daddy and mommy too. haha....
