What would you think if we got to have a choice to put a visitor counter on our discussions? I think a counter would be awesome, because then I would know how many people visit to read my discussions and then I would now whether or not my discussion is good. Because if it is good then I would have most of the visitors responding and if it is a horrible discussion then I would get a few of the visitors responding. It would be nice just to have an idea on how well I am doing. What are your ideas on this? Happy Mylotting

I think having a visitor counting would be a great assett to the performance of the members of the MyLot community. I have just recently reactivated my activities here on MyLot, and have posted a few discussions without having any responses or comments on them. I used to be good at MyLotting!! LOL I guess I am alittle rusty and have lost my status with activity, as now I have to start all over with meeeting people and staying busy with the discussions and forums. Guess I am a little rusty, but I would love to see ho many people, if any, look at my forums. Is this something that we as Mylotters can propse to the administration?

Hello, that is the exact reason I thought of it. I have noticed that for some reason a few of my discussions have no responses and there are a few that has very little responses. I know that I use to get tons of people responding but not now. Yes it is that we mylotters could propose to the administration. The most they could do is say no. But I think if we got enough people asking for this feauture they might give it to us. Even if it could be a beta to see how it would work. Happy Mylotting and Good Luck with posting.

I think the members on here are quite selective with what they respond to. I mean after all, I sure don't respond to any! But yes, with a counter, we could see if anyone was even looking at what we were posting. We all know it's feast or famine here with the discussions. I have made several forums that got no activity, when I surely thought there would be.

That is how I feel. Like I have a couple discussions with no responses and I thought for sure that they would have some responses because the way I see it, is that there are tons of people on NeoBux. But I found out there was no responders to them I was kinda upset. Happy Mylotting

Yes I think that a stat counter or view counter will be a great addition to this marvelous site, as it can help see which of your discussion are very popular. I feel this will help us to see which of our threads are popular, and track how many people have seen it. I am pretty sure that it said you can increase your earnings if you get more people to read your discussions if they respond to it, so having a view counter will help you see how many of your visitors comment and you can make a graph about it.

I don't necessarily choose the more popular threads though. In fact, sometimes I actually scan the new users or the no response links to find a new topic. I can help the zero responses because I would love someone to help me out with my forums that aren't moving! Do unto others.....LOL

Yes, it can be very helpful in knowing which discussions are very popular out of all the ones you have done so that you know which topic is your most best quality type of topic to work with. I hate it that I have some discussions that have no responses, so there for I know now not work to much in that topic. Happy Mylotting

So You'd like to know how many people are checking out your discussions, but who don't actually get around to posting a response when they do so? Personally speaking,I'm disappointed when discussions I go to the trouble of creating end up in the Limbo of the "No Responses" file-knowing that people were looking at it and saying nothing at all wouldn't make it feel any better watching it stay there!

Well for me it is not knowing that they arn't responding, it is the knowing that they were looking and reading my discussion but was not interested in the topic, so I would know that if I want to do a topic like that again I then would know that I need to spice it up. I think this would help me know that I am needing a little more TLC in my discussions. But I do understand what you are saying 100% Happy Mylotting

Hi there! I think I would not want a visitor counter. I wouldn't want to find out the big difference in number of those who only come to read my discussions and not respond on them. It will only reflect how uninteresting my topic is. It might only break my heart hehe. I just like the way how everything works here in mylot. Receiving responses from my topics is enough for me to know how many got interested. Ciao!

I never thought of it this way although I get heart broken when I get no responses anyways on my discussions. So I don't think it could get any wores for me... But I will say that you have a very good point though. Happy Mylotting

I think if it was an option that you could chose to include it would be good for those who do want to improve their performance on myLot. Plus as well as helping to gauge the success of your discussion in terms of responses it would also help you to work out which discussion topics have a higher visitor rate than others. But I wouldn’t like it forced upon us as a permanent attachment to each discussion as for some members myLot is all about the social interaction rather than trying to get more responses and would be a distraction as people go round comparing how many people visit your discussions.

Very well said. Yes being as an option would be great. For me it is more like knowing what to write on and not to write on. I don't care about being popular in a certain topic. The socializing is what is the most important here. Happy Mylotting

i think it's a fab idea, out of the few discussions i've started there are 2 that haven't had a response,it would be interesting to know if people have actually read them and decided that they were no good,or if they just haven't been read at all

Yep that is one of the main reason's why I think it would be cool if could have it as an option. I know that I would for sure use it if there was one. Happy Mylotting

That would be lovely. It can boost you or it can also upset you when nobody is in. But nice idea of how to add spice in the discussion if they would put such a tool. I have nothing against it if they will implement such. If the discussion is bad, we can't delete it anyway, so the number of visitors would be less. But if the counter also counts the number of people who viewed the topic, but not responded, then that's another issue. I guess you would favor a visitor who responded and not a viewer only. Happy Mylotting.

Very well put. I think it would be nice so that we all have a clue if we are doing good in our discussions or if it is not interesting to people. I wish there was a delete button too. I have a couple discussions that has been up for about 3 weeks now with no responses, but it would be nice to see if anyone did look at the discussion. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope that MyLot Admin see's this discussion. But if they did decide to do it, I think it should be there as a choice though. Happy Mylotting

I guess this can be a good idea. But I am also not denying the fact that almost 90% of people who read somebody's discussion also answer to that.So the responses that u get are almost the the no. of visitors u r getting for ur discussions.

Yes that is true but what I am getting at is that what if you get visitors and get no responses. That is where this idea comes in at. The only reason I am saying this is because I have a couple discussions up and has no responses so it would be nice to know if anyone even bothered to read them. That is where this would come in at. It will be really great to have this feature of visitor count. This will let us know what kind of discussions are the users really interested.

Yes that is why I think it would be nice. Because then if we respond to a discussion we would know if that is the kind of topics that people are looking foward to. Happy Mylotting
