Space Exploration  

although important, i dont think there is such a sense of urgency like there was with President Kennedy competing against the Russians during the early days of the 1960's. however, i would love to have become an astronaut though!

I think it is more important that they explore it now for future generations. Eventually our son will stop burning and our earth will no longer be viable. I am sure this will not be in our life time, but if the human race is to survive we need to figure out what else is out there. It will also help us to determine the condition of our solar system.

There are many problems with this rock we live on. Many of them we cannot fully understand and deal with effectively until we know the answers to some questions that only the exploration of spsce can answer.

We are now finding worlds outside our solar system. It is clear from the early results that we have vastly underestimated the number of planets in our universe.

I think it is only a matter of time before we make "contact" with intelligent beings from another planet. While tht contact is unlikely to be anything that resembles our ideas of communication, the mere fact that we find another "species" of intelligent beings will vastly alter (for the good) our view of the universe.

Yeah what they said. LOL Yes I think it is important. We need to learn more about what goes on in space so that we can always be aware of what is going on in our solar system and how that eventually will affect us. There are a lot of unknown variables out there and the more we know the better off we will be. I think to not explore space would be a huge error.

Space exploration would just satisfy mankind's curiosity. Maybe we can find life out there...
