I have a crazy mouse! And I can't get rid of it!!  | | | |  I can't believe I am even bringing this here, but I can't believe it and I am living it. I have a mouse that is a drug addict and I can't get rid of it! I'm serious! I have a drawer that has our meds in it,in the kitchen, and the mouse won't stay out of it. We've put out poison (which I don't like but I am getting desperate) as well as traps and we can't get rid of it. Can't catch it. It's only eating my DayQuil and NyQuil! Seriously! It is chewing thru the plastic blister packs and chews the gelcaps open and, I guess, drinks the medicine because they're always empty but no liquid is found in the drawer. All that is left is a drawer full of chewed plastic and empty gelcaps! Okay, and mouse poop, which totally grosses me out but it's how I know who is doing the damage.  There was an open bowl of Cheerios on the counter right above the drawer and it wasn't touched. None of the other meds or any other food (bread, cereal, left out food scraps, trash, and so on) is ever touched. JUST my DayQuil and MyQuil. Not even any of the other meds, just those two. So, do they have a cough and cold they're trying to relieve? Insomnia? What the heck??

| |  last time my neighbour had a mouse she couldn't catch,i put 2 traps down with chocolate,crushed anti depressents and anti freeze as bait,she ain't seen the mouse since,,i used chocolate coz mice love it,anti depressents to poison it and anti freeze just to make sure it was dead

| | Really? We still haven't caught the stupid thing(s). We bought some glue traps and a bait that was recommended by an exterminator and my husband is putting them out now. We baited with peanut butter because my mom swears by it, but it (they?) didn't touch the traps. We had to clean all 4 drawers out last night, wash everything in every drawer, since there was mouse poop in all of them. It was horrible since we were gone for the night so the house was quiet. We got up this morning and have to do it all over again! Luckily I had left most of it in the dishwasher. I was NOT happy!
We called an exterminator out of desperation today and the cheapest was $75 and went up to $150 for a one time visit!! One gave us tips, the special bait we bought, so we're hoping that helps. | |  LOL A druggie mouse...never heard of that one before! The best thing I can suggest is to put anything that's not in a bottle in a small plastic bowl with a lid. Then again maybe if you put a massive collection of the gelcaps in there, it would OD and be done with it. You could always give it a treat and sit a little pile of weed in there...now that would be a HAPPY mouse.
