Can the word 'Sorry' be supplemented with another?

Whereever I go, people keep saying sorry for this and sorry for that, irrespective of whether their action has caused me harm or not. This is getting to get on my nerves as people find it extremely convenient to say sorry and just walk away. Any suggestions?
