Poor RICH Man  | |  I had this patient last night who was admitted due to a Peptic Ulcer Disease. This old man in his late 60's is already a widower and is living alone with his 34yo single daughter. He was awake early today and went on telling me a short story about his life at present. He began to tell me that at this very moment of his life, he is very much preoccupied about his vast property. He has a big farm, mobile business, notary business and a lot of other owned properties yet he's already old and is very much worried on who gets to tend to all his properties when he dies since his daughter plans to be a single for the rest her life.
It just occurred to me how poor this rich man is. He could buy everything he wanted yet he could not get happiness and peace of mind.
What if you were in his shoes? What would you do just to get happiness and peace of mind?

'got jobs in his business.use that damned money to help;
'less fortunate people. if he is close to die he should
deed over his properties to those who need to be helped
to make a living.let him think About others instead of
himself.but late 60s is not old now I am 82 and not about
to die yet. but he should be thinking of others much less
fortunate and how he could help them.

You can have everything in the world, and yet you still unable to feel content, isn't that sad, when the truth, all our life, we keep chasing things that can make us feel richer, but turn out this things do not guarantee a happy ending.
If I'm in his shoe, I will donate most of it and seeing somebody else benefiting it may make me feel happy and content. I cannot bring all the things I own to the grave, right?

If I was in that situation, I'd leave everything to my daughter and let her chop it all up because then it'll be up to her to run the business or to sell it. After all, I think the old man toiled to give her a good life with stable income or means of living. | |
