Big Brother Alert: Is Obama Recruiting Citizen Spies

United States
August 8, 2009 1:57pm CST
I have been using the "Big Brother is Watching You" analogy for quite s few weeks now regarding our political situation here in the USA. I came across this article and my question si: do you believe this too be true or the result of an over active imagination? Can the unthinkable actually be happening? Is the Obama Administration employing Stalinist tactics of thuggery and intimidation against average Americans who oppose ObamaCare? Consider the following incident. When Barack Hussein Obama rolled into town for his - by invitation only - town hall meeting in Bristol Virginia, average citizens, desperate to make their voices heard, gathered on sidewalks and curbs along the route of Obama's motorcade holding homemade signs opposing ObamaCare. One of the peaceful citizen protesters sent this shocking eyewitness report to the Internet blog, TheGatewayPundit.com: "There were several vehicles following the limo that contained the secret service. The vehicles had all the windows rolled down, and back hatches open on the SUVs with the men holding their, I assume assault rifles, machine guns, drawn on everyone lining the streets. Needless to say, it took my breath away at the sight of them, and made my friends and I dizzy with fear.... I turned on a local talk radio program as we were leaving and all the calls were about witnessing the guns being pointed at them." Of course, we don't want to jump to any conclusions. There might have been a legitimate reason behind what appears to otherwise be an excessive show of force... we simply don't know. But even if the intent of the Obama Administration was not to oppressively stifle 1st Amendment rights... the message that was left is nonetheless chilling. Rosslyn Smith with AmericanThinker.com put the incident in perspective: "Whatever it was, the message was poison. Only handpicked supporters were going to get into the carefully orchestrated media event at a Kroger deli that had Obama jetting in and out of the community. That all those who were left to peacefully demonstrate outside had been held at gunpoint is not going to be forgotten anytime soon by those in attendance." Thuggery? ... Veiled threat? ... Paranoia on the part of Team Obama? ... Legitimate and necessary safeguards to protect the life of the President against a real threat? We may never know. But there is one thing that we do know. Proponents of ObamaCare are showing a detestable contempt for the American people. They don't want to hear from you. They don't want to hear what you have to say when it comes to the government takeover of the health care system and they don't care what you have to say. Essentially, they are trying to tune you out. But it doesn't have to be that way. You can make them listen... right here and right now. http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/pol/1311858872.html

Iopened this up and couldnt find a hyper link but did find something I could email to so I did. I Ithink that most AMericans have got onto him and his so called policy. adn if we wanted to be like germany back in the 30s 40s we wouldnt have gone in there and helped the people out of and away from Hitler. And seems to me like the Afircan - Americans got what they wanted but didnt know they would be thought as underlings too along with the whites

That is what is true even the people that voted for him will be affected by his madness. They will not get a free pass.

Here's a link to one of several special interest groups who are organizing the disruption of town hall meetings across the country. This link is to a conservative righs website and it only lists town hall meetings that are hosted by Democrats with a little hate mongering thrown in for good measure. BOTH sides are behaving badly and, sadly, the American people are letting these folks manipulate them. http://www.cprights.org/townhalls.php

...you said... BOTH sides are behaving badly and, sadly, the American people are letting these folks manipulate them. I agree with you 150%. We could do with a health care overhaul but not this proposed plan.

I really wish that a REAL grassroots movement would come into play where local citizens from BOTH parties showed up at these town hall meetings and kicked the troublemakers out so that a real dialog could take place. Like with the TEA parties...it didn't matter what party you supported.

IMO, both parties are really only one party playing good cop/bad cop (think about the bailout). Let's entertain the idea of third parties.

This sounds dangerous and also the fact that he has the far left democrats in charge of the senate and the house of congress. That means that any laws he wants are passed. Now I am not against health care but the ObamaCare seems to be treat the healthy or those with potential and let the others die. And I think that Obama was really orchestrated to be president and may even be illegal or may be legal, but is the puppet of an enemy government. It sounds like what happened in America before World War II when the German Bundts tried to bring in Nazism. There were Americans who were born in America but their parents or grandparents were born in Germany and when the kid went over to Germany he got indoctrinated into Nazi policy. So it could be that Obama was influenced by Islam when he went over to visit one of those countries when young.

I have always thought since he first ran in the campaign that he is the puppet of an enemy government. It seems that Obama was also raised under a very strong Islaminc influence. His mother was married twice to Muslims and always enrolled him in school as a Muslim

And yet the Obamamites are so enthralled by his charisma that they follow his every rule and his every decision and yet if Hillary or perhaps another Democrat had done what he did, they would have been against it.

I don't even know what to say, this is perhaps the worst I've seen yet, and I've seen a lot of bad things from this guy and his goons (including encouraging people to rat out their friends and neighbors who dare to disagree, in full violation of the law by the way). This isn't the America I grew up in, this is some nightmare that I can't seem to wake from.

I am truly saddened by the "...yes we can ...screw it up" change that has happened to my adopted country. I made a conscious choice to become an American citizen because the 32 years I have lived here had it ups and downs in the political scene but nothing like now. Why now it is becoming more and more like the UK ..over run by illegal immigrants and now socialized health care and that is what I thought I was leaving behind. BTW I think Obama makes Nixon look like a choir boy but at least we knew he was an American BORN rat.

Obama learned well from Saul Alinsky, and possibly from Hitler, Stalin, and Marx as well. This is the change that was promised? Obama can keep his change...I want my freedom. It's very obvious that Obama is afraid of losing his power, judging by the way he's sending out his goons to harass and intimidate peaceful protesters. He knows he's in trouble with the American people; he knows that the honeymoon is over. To put it simply, Barack Hussein Obama has declared war on his own country. Forget about the real terrorists who want to harm America; oh, no...we must dialogue with them to reach a better understanding, right?...he has targeted mainstream Americans and have lumped them into the "mob" category. Obama's actions are despicable and beneath the dignity of the office he holds.

It is ridiculous that they had to make this show of force. It tells me that the secret service is very nervous guarding Obama and that can only mean one thing as far as I can see. We already know he is not doing anything he has promised and with the economy still on a downward spiral people are going to get angry and angry people do some pretty wild things. The French Revolution was started by angry people as well as our own American Revolution. We may see another Boston Tea Party in this country if things don't change and very soon. I'd be willing to bet that there have been threats circulating against Obama, this is not good because hurting or killing him is not the answer. If anything it will make matters worse and people have to understand that. It is a no win scenario in the extreme, once he was elected we were literally locked into a highly volatile situation with no real way to bring the risk factors down. I am also driven by my own personal feelings that he is not working for this country but serving someone else's ambitions. I have said it before and will say it again, the man scares me....he is an ego manic, and power hungry, and that alone makes it a bad situation. I'd like to see him stand up in front of the 750,000 people that have lost their jobs in the last 2 months and tell them the stimulus plan is working.....you won't ever see a fight like that again I'm thinking.
