Do you note down or write the day to day expenses...

well i used to do this hen i was in hostl its avery good practice but very difficult to keep also i somehow feels it improve memory

We do have the habit of maintaining a diary to note down daily expenses. I belong to a family of bankers and my father has taught me to keep a regular note of all my expenditure and then have a look at it in the end of every month so that i can know where i over spent:)

Though my father has been telling me this for a long time i was not too worried about it all till i started earning. I also make a monthly budget and then spend accordingly. This way I'm also able to save some amount of earnings

i do write my daily expenses and find that its more money i spend than i earn

I have seen my parents doing that sometime. But, they never used to do that all the time. I think it is good to write down the expenses so that we can understand the unnecessary things we bought and cut down on that.

I have never done that. I am lazy to do that even though I know that it is good to do that. I have never seen my husband doing it. He spends a lot especially in resturants and coffee shops.

I usually write down my expenses vs. my income every month for me to know and track my expenses so i can make adjustments if necessary

Yes i do have the habit of writing daily expenses as it helps me to keep a check on the expenses i make. It is an excellent habit which helps you in forecasting, budgeting and helps you to save money for a rainy day. These small savings help you to invest for your funds after retirement.

I never check the prices of the previous month to know about the price rise. Yes i keep a check on the expenses and curtail them whenever necessary.

I don't like to write everything in the diary.I like to keep them in my mind more.IF the bad something for me, i will not keep them in mind.
