I don't why this has pop-up into my head but anyway, it's an opportunity that i wouldn't allow to pass up. a lot of other old users have either quit, gone, or worst. dead, until another mylot tells you that the user is dead, that's horrible.
But i know some very active users had already been here in years and had been busy making their own topics and discussions. some had given us tips on how to avoid making mistakes on what ever you do a mistake that prevents you from being suspended or taking a negative impression by another mylot user. but that's not enough....it's lucky that some one get's to find that discussion and other gets bored about responding to it.
This is to those who had been longer than a year, at least. Either you feel you're staying or you think you may wanna quit here soon, What is that you want to share with us middle age and newbie users, something that we will remember and pass it on for the next Generation of mylot users5 people like this

Ok I've been on here a year and a half, guess that makes me an oldie. lol
What I want to share is this:
Have fun!
Be aware of the guidelines so that you don't accidentally get a discussion of yours deleted, but mostly have fun.

i agree about having fun and following the rules. i hope i don't get dump again, cause i like my new self now. and probably i'd be cautious with other discussions and be sensitive about it.

i recently mentioned it to some stupid woman here to shut her up. i told her it is no wonder a lot of people have quit or are quitting, probably due to people like her. some people just have lots of problems that they need to go on the internet and talk their crap with strangers they dont even know to make their pathetic lives seem better.
i just come on mylot when i check my email, and respond to the discussions or questions that i am most familiar with. just to share my experiences with whatever the question was all about.

Hi there!
I am here for pretty long time and as you have said that I keep learning from others, as and when I participate in mylot discussions. It has been a rewarding and thrilling journey so far on mylot and every new day is a learning day here. There are some wonderful and extra-ordinary mylotters here e.g. Zandi and Opal, who are around for more than a year and they always enrich this forum with their useful contribution. It is not so that we have to learn from the senior here, some of the newbies and junior are quite intelligent here, who always keep enlightening the atmoshphere here, with their posts.

Thank you for coming up with this lovely topic remembering the old horses in mylot. I can be considered as a veteran mylotter as I have been around here more than 3 years but wasn't too active in the early stages. Honestly, I have no legacy to shout out as I consider myself a reserved mylotter, not good at mentoring and only following the tide. It has been a long journey of many sweet and bad memories here. I don't know why I am still around when all my friends are no longer here and am left a loner with the group that was once active with me. I miss them a lot and hope they would one day show up to rekindle the good times we had here. The pioneer mylotters are unique in the sense they will support every discussions any of their friends posted regardless of the topics and they sure have something to say even though it may not be within their interest range. The strong solidarity shown is something that is missing now in the new people in mylot.

I have been helped by many oldies here. One such is mysdianait. She has been very helpful to the newbies & personally to me.I have seen zandi , bookreadermom (OMG why do I forget the names of these gentle oldies/ladies)etc..etc.. to name a few(I will put all the names as & when I recollect) who have also put their valuable inputs for the newbies. All in all what I have seen from the oldies here is that they are not at all selfish.Kudos to them....

I want to thank you to krupesh! Us older mylotters, and there
are so many that have been here way longer than I have really
do want to help newbies! Why wouldn't we? But, the ones that
come in here with attitudes are not helping the site or
themselves! This site is about friendship and helping each
other! I've sent you a friend request so I hope to be seeing
alot more of you!

I am not one of the those that has been here for years. I do like mylot and with that I have learned many things and also have given others idea's or suggestions on different topics as well. I have found that some of those that have been here for years will give advice to others without hesitation. I like this. Still with newbies they may not have all the knowledge of how mylot works, but I have seen some very good discussions started with alot of activity that they have done. So all in all we all basically work together to make MYLOT what it is. From those that have been here for long time to those that are just starting out, we all have something to give and we all have things we can learn from each other.

Hey Letran! I don't think that anyone is here to leave anything
in particular except what they get from mylot themselves.
Everyone is here for something, for me it is friendship. I
have met some wonderful people here in the 14 months that I
have been on the lot. I am always happy to help a newbie out
because when I was a newbie I was helped out, by some people
who became my closest and dearest friends! (You know who you
are!) I just like to have fun sometimes and other times I
like to get involved in a good discussion that has meaning
and sometimes helps someone get their rant on or get out their
feelings! Whatever the case may be, mylot is what YOU make it!

Hi Opal I applaud your invaluable service to all the newbies here and hope that they will follow the footsteps of the veterans and not try to boot them out of this place. They are here because of pioneers. What would have happened if all the oldies are gone this site would not have reached this far. The newbies are the new generation of mylotters who will continue the legacy of the oldies that have planted the seeds of harmonious friendships and has made mylot one of the most popular social site on the map of the cyberworld.
