Do your dogs chase the vacuum cleaner?  

My dog always barks at the vacuum cleaner so I make a point of not using it if she is inside.
What is really crazy is she barks like mad when I start washing the dishes and gets quite aggressive about it. I don't know whay she sees it as a threat, me putting hot water and washing up liquid in a bowl but she goes bananas!

Hi! We used to have just the reverse situation with our dog and vacuum cleaner. Although our dog was quite brave and big one, Royal Standard Poodle, he was very much afraid of vacuum cleaner, blow dryer and lightning. He used to hide himself in the impossible places, not to hear a vacuum cleaner or lightning. I think that was some kind of psychological trauma he got in childhood, before we took him.

OMG my dog will chase the vacuum and bark at it. It is the funnies thing to watch haha!!!!!!

My dogs don't chase the vacuum cleaner - my inside dog always wants to go outside when i vacuum it scares her. My husky who lives outside (he comes in from time to time but he seems to prefer it outside) will bark and growl and my lawnmower as i push it mowing my lawn. It makes him especially mad when i pull the cord and turn it on.

We don't have dogs right now, but my husband was just telling me about a dog that he had that really dind't mind the vaccume. She didn't chase it, but she wans't scared of it either. She just ignored it, and went about her business. The dog I had a as a child, Penny, was scared of it, and would hide.
