I wish we could have had many more days
to spend together as husband and wife
but my dreams were shattered
when you left me alone in this life.
My heart and soul is aching for you
my arms long for you each day
for you are gone from me forever
with only your sweet memories to stay

If you are thinking of him, he is likely thinking of you, and near you, even if you can't see him. I don't beleive that our loved ones completely leave when they die, they live on in our hearts and memories and I beleive that their spirit is still around us sometimes.

This is an absolutely beautiful memorial to your husband and perhaps even a publishable piece of work. Keep the memories of your husband strong and he will live within you forever.
