At what age did you start your kids into soccer?

I attended a mini soccer practice with my 3 year old nephew and his dad. My nephew seem to take to kicking the ball around, almost like a natural. So I was wondering, how old were your kids when they started playing soccer?

We waited until our kids were 6 years old before allowing them to start soccer. Joining a team requires commitment and I felt like the kids needed to be able to make that commitment, not me making a commitment for them. My son played soccer for 6 years and my daughter played for two.

I agree with caver1, at least when my child is 6 years. after all that was their choose to their destiny
