I was sent an alert from Mylot  

I think everyone got the alert. I got a little concerned if I did something wrong with my tagging too but I think its just a warning for everyone. I have seen some inappropriate tagging floating around although not often. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Same. I also got two alerts. Now, I put the tags every time after I responded a discussion. I don't want my account to be terminated.

Yeah i did recieved the same alert this morning. From now im going to really put the same tag discussion. I dont want to be terminated nor lose the funds i make. I already put up a lot of effort just to reach the payout and im almost there.

It doesn't say we must tag it says that when we do use tags they must be appropriate and not abusive or irrelevant to the discussion.
It was sent to all members and you shouldn't worry about anything as long as you use appropriate tags if you do use any tags which you don't have to

All of mylot community I believe had received the alerts. I have received that alert, too. One of the topic in there was the abuse of the tag. Some mylot members might have abuse the tags so the mylot admin is coming up with some precautions so that this thing will not be repeated. It said that tag abuse is now one of the reason for membership termination. What do you think?

I don't normally tag my discussions, which i suppose is okay in this situation? Unless they NEED us to tag them? I generally let other people do it. D:

I received both of these and at first, as I am relatively new, I thought they were aimed at me rather than a general news alert! I was under the impression that the alert about tagging was saying there had been some irrelvant tags lately and to take care when adding tags. The other alert I had was about myLot 'flyers'.

Oh yes not to worry I had two alerts as well.

I didn't read it in detail, I just skimmed through it. It is ridiculous that they have made tagging mandatory. I think it is the responsibility of the discussion initiator to tag and he or she will be the best person to do it as well, there are no two ways about it. But now we have no choice, I'll start tagging.

I have received the mylot alert too. One was about the mylot banners and yes the tagging of discussions. Everyone receives mylot alerts when the staff needs to announce or impart something important to the members.

You are right about the tag alert. I always put tags on my posts ever since I joined mylot. It is one of the requirements here for the members. We need to tag our posts so every posts can be grouped or categorized to their specific interests. But lately, I have seen a lot of posts without tags. Without the tags, discussions will be disorganized so let's tag the discussions!
