We Indians are celebrating our Independence day today. India is a vast country. One of the biggest democratic countries of the world. We have many religions, different culture, too many castes, too many languages, rich, poor, educated, illiterate etc etc... We have Unity in diversities. I am proud to be an Indian. Happy independence day to all Indians.

Vijay, congratulations to the people of your wonderful country. Your country in some respects sounds like mine. We celebrated our Independence July 4, as we do each year since 1776. Again, happy Independence day

Thanks vijay and wish u too the same :) though a day late...i was just busy in some festivals celebrations...Janam ashtami which was just a day before Independence day and on the next day that is 15th there is matki fod....where the young boys imitate and try to act as baal krishna and break the makhan pots...yes...u r right there are varied colors and flavors in India which make life here enjoyable ...

Hi Vijayanths, I too wish you and all Indians a very happy Independents Day. You are indeed the world's largest democracy, and although I haven't visited your country, I've read much about it. You have much to be proud of and appear to be on the verge of becoming a world Superpower. I realize that you have many problems to overcome, especially in regard to the very poor but every country has it's problems. Yours is no doubt made worse because of your vast population. I believe you have a great future. Blessings.

Yes, I am too very proud to be an Indian. We have progressed a lot in so many fields which was a dream come true for many of the people who have sacrificed their lives for an Independent India. India is such an advanced nation now and it is our duty as an Indian to make our country reach heights in all fields. A very Happy Independence Day to all my fellow citizens.
