Profits, Wages, And Investments

There is a group of American that like to rail against profits companies make and the wages these companies pay their top executives. They demonize profit as if they are evil. In doing so they are demonizing themselves. Most people make profits and chances are you will be making a profit some time this week. The only people who do not make profits are failing companies. If you work for a company you continue to work there because the company is making a profit. If you do not work and are living off of government or some charity this is because some one profited enough to either be taxed or had enough to give away. Your work into itself is a profit to you. Depending on how far away you live from your work and how much mpg your vehicle get, it may cost you $2 to $10 dollars a day. So for that investment you may get back around $100 dollars a day. After you put gas into your vehicle that is straight profit. What you do with those profits are up to you. Wages are another hot button topic, but why? A CEO make $53 million and you make $53,000 does not seem fair to you. So you are angry, but instead of being angry why not try to become a CEO. Instantly you realize you are not qualified to be a CEO. For various reason you have not put the investment into your life to become someone who could make $53 million. Once again we fine the elephant in the room, INVESTMENTS. An investment includes everything from the gas in your vehicle, going to college, long hours at the office, or just simply taking a chance. Without sky high profits what would be the incentive to go to go to work, go to college, work long hours, or take a chance. Profits is what drive everyone to do their best in life, without them we would just settle for mediocrity.

Socialist hate private enterprise... they are all for profits as long as they are the ones controlling who makes the profit and how much. Look at the make up of 0bozo's cabinet and Czars, and you will find big money... not big business, not big oil, not heavy industry. You will find bankers and financiers, and those who worked for them or who worked in previous administrations. They want to control the profits, and keep the little people in their place.

gewcew23, LIBS always talk about GREEDY people. I'll tell you who is GREEDY,it's the people that don't work, cash in on every GOV program there is. What right do they have to money honestly made by a productive person. NONE. As for high salaries of CEO's,they earn more than that for the company, just like most working citizens. If you restrict their pay they will go work for someone else and the company will become less competitive.

Amen to that. We have to have a profit off of our wages or we will not get anywhere in life. We used to use all of our money to pay the bills and that was no fun at all. We still do for the most part but we do buy what we want and need also sometimes.
