It's been another one of those strange days...

I actually got up early this morning and baked a cake for the people at my physical therapy provider. I finished the cake (chocolate with chocolate frosting...all from scratch) and decided to take a bath. Nothing to do with cats so far... I finished filling the tub and had crawled in. Since it was hot outside I had the cooler running (which is in the hallway beside the bathroom.) I had the bathroom door open to allow the cool air in. Well Khuay, the house clown, came wandering in to check out to see what was going on. He gave his trade mark single meow and turned to leave. Well the thought was there, but it didn't work out that way!!! Khuay turned and as he turned a blob of hair came blowing down the hallway. (Hey with 4 dogs and 4 cats there is ALWAYS hair!!!) He caught sight of the hair, jumped 3 feet in the air and two feet backwards right into the tub with me!!!. He felt the water around him and jumped again, only this time he went straight up and down for a second soaking...and then leaped out of the tub and disappeared at mach speed down the hallway and out the window to the patio!!! All I could do is sit in the tub, weak with laughter!!! He came down the hall when I got home and sat outside the door eyeballing that dastardly beast that got him totally wet! Have you had your cat join you for your bath or shower???

when Sab, my first cat, was a kitten, she used to cry outside the shower and then one day she jumped up to the edge of the tub - and fell in - well, panic time and tried to get out but was too little... I lifted her out and after that she contented herself by waiting outside for "Meommy" to get tired of being wet and come out again.

that's a really funny story. I have a cat as well and he just hates everything that has to do with water so he has never "joined" me in the tub or the shower. The cat of our neighbours on the other hand, she just adores water. Our neighbours once told us that this cat just demands to get into the shower when they are having a shower, she just really needs to get in there and when they don't let her in, she wil just keep on meowing untill they let her in. When I heard this I was really amazed, you always hear about cats that they hate water, but as the cat of my neighbours proved, there are cats that really love it.
