Independence Day

Here in the state July 4th is the glorious day. It is a day filled with parades and night filled with fireworks. It is great for families. Many of my neighbors will use thier grill and swim in their pools on this day. I join them and have a great time. Of course respect to the fallen.

yes, our country has the Independece Day, and we celebrate it in 1st Oct every year.
I like this day as it is a public holiday and I can do the things that I like.
I am tired of working now.

In philippines we celebrate independence day every 12th of June. Students have parades in school and have some activities. But me, i celebrate it at home by cooking dinner for the family.

Our independence day is celebrated on August 15th. India got independance from British Rule 62years ago. The Britishers left our country at midnight and the morning, our national flag was hoisted. They had ruled India for over 200years and left us almost looted of many wealth and precious stones and jewellery. Many movements were on to vacate them. The main attraction of Independance day is that we hoist our flag in all 29 state capital by chief ministers, all seven union territories including our capital delhi in red fort by our prime minister and also in most schools.
The event in Delhi is a very elaborate one which has procession and display of various culture, state representation and our defence capabilities.

Hi Vingy! Very Happy Independence Day to you. I am a Bangladeshi. Initially we were with India and we were neglected and exploited by British for about 200 years. There after the freedom fighters of greater India fought against British Government for about 200 year. Then British Government realized the matter and decided to provide freedom. On the basis of major two religions, India was divided into Pakistan for mostly Muslims and India for mostly Hindus. Pakistan got independence on 14 August 1947 and India got independence on 15 August 1947.

Again we were neglected by Pakistani leaders. As such our great leader and father of nation Shaikh Mujibur Rahman declared Independence on 26 March 1971. We fought against Pakistan from 26 March 1971 to 16 December 1971 and achieved our victory. So now we celebrate our independence Day on 26 March every year.

Since we are both Malaysians we celebrate 31 st August as Independence Day. We called in Merdeka-Liberation is the better equivalent.Anyway, the word I want to dwell on is "celebration". How does one celebrate independence day? What is the significance of this day to us? For many, it is a happy holiday-a day to make your very own. To do what you like and let the world go by.When I was very young in Standard Three, I will be involved personally in the events in celebration of Merdeka Day. By now, we would be in the field as a school choir to sing songs that we have been taught. Mr. Kessler will be on the accordion and we sang to our heart's delight.I could not remember any of the songs that we local, but we sang THE BLUE DANUBE. Over the years, Merdeka slowly faded away in meaning to me. It was more forced marching on that day. In time, it was just watching the march past on the V. These days, nada! Absolutely forgettable.

In India we celebrate the Independence day on 15th August. India got independence from the British in 1947. Independence is great for any nation. It marks a very important event for any nation. It is like a rebirth of an nation. One thing which I do not like about the Independence of India is that India was partitioned on that day into India and Pakistan. It led to widespread killings and lootings on both sides. The people who were together before the independence were now fighting among themselves.

This day is celebrated everywhere in Indian with great passion. Also in foreign countries I have seen people celebrating this day in Indian embassies.

We got our independence on august 14th midnight 1947. So we celebrate it on 15th august every year. We formed a democratic government of the people by the people for the people. Every year we celebrate this day with lot of funfare. It is a public holiday.

Our independence day is the 12th of June because it was declared by our President after the World War II. in my case, i would by a flag and sing national anthem on the television when others are singing.

I am an Indian and August 15th is the Indepandance day of my country. We celebrate it very well. There will be processions and marches arranged by various schools and offices. Flag hosting will be done in evry public office and there will be discounts on many things due to Indepandance day. All the channels willplay patriotic movies and it is nice watching them once in a year atleast.
