What's the best Job search site? |
|
I am looking for a job and have registered on multiple job search sites. I was wondering which do you think is best and why? Have you gotten a job this way? How many jobs contacted you themselves and how many did you have to contact?

2. Idlewild (4728) | 5 months ago | I've found the best results through Craigslist. People advertise there if they actually have jobs, whereas on some job search sites the companies just seem to be collecting resumes.
Idealist.org is a good site for finding nonprofit jobs or volunteer opportunities.

_sketch_ (1365) | 5 months ago | Yeah that is true. I have looked on Craigslist a few times, but don't really find much since I need a night job and most on there seem to be only day jobs. Thanks.

3. tonyllenium (2054) | 5 months ago | i think sites as monster and hotjobs should b one of the nest in the ent to search a job!!Surely sometimes is difficult to find it as in reality but i guess that if you can select the offers where you have experiences and good skills you will able to find your job on those sites as well!!good luck!!

4. antarcticpostcards (439) | 5 months ago | I have not had any luck on any job sites. I mostly stick to ones related to nanny jobs, though, because that is what I would prefer to do with my life and the only job I have ever had that I liked.

5. Poison_Girl (3319) | 5 months ago | My vote for the best are www.indeed.com and www.craigslist.com
I seem to have better luck with those two. More with Craig's List than Indeed, but Indeed is like a Google for job searching. It'll search multiple sites so you don't have to.
Good luck!

_sketch_ (1365) | 5 months ago | A lot of people like Craig's list. I haven't had much luck with it, but Indeed does come up with a lot of results. Thanks.

6. amitavroy (3947) | 5 months ago | personally i have been using monster and times jobs and i find both of them very good but yes for some reason i think monster is better. i mean monster does more marketing and publicity work and so people come on this site more than times jobs. but yes monster jobs is also very professional. i felt that they need to have a good support for even the free users. but any ways that is what i personally felt.

| 7. qtquiggs (35) | 5 months ago | hi sketch, well i'm on monster and careerbuilder and i have applied for quite a few jobs. with my experience with customer service i am getting hit from alot of insurance companies requesting i go for interviews. so i have not had much luck so far. gone a like three interviews for ones i filled out on line but not many hits. i have bee out for almost a year now so i update my resume to keep it coming up on the higher end of the employeers searches. so you might want to try that also. I have found a few listings from craigslist also and had interviews. if you have the problem with night work i think craigslist would be a good place to look. good luck with the search,!
