3. nrtan2000 (1027) | 5 months ago | I think most people do shaving and waxing. I think shaving is a cheaper way to do it and waxing would be more expensive. I heard that hairs grow thicker if you do shaving especially if you do it more often but its not painful as compared to waxing. Waxing is a little painful as what i have observed, more expensive and takes more time to do as compared to shaving. hehe. So far when it comes to hair removal i have only heard of those two methods but i have also heard about this hair removal cream where you just apply the cream to the hair and the hair would just be removed easily, have never tried it but just heard about it from someone before..

anna728 (579) | 5 months ago | Yeah I agree that shaving and waxing are probably the most common methods. I think that's what most people do. That bit about shaving making your hair grow back thicker isn't true though- just an old wives tale. I think waxing is more painful but then again it lasts longer... so I guess there are pros and cons to both. The cream you talk about is usually called a depilatory... I tried that once but I didn't like it. It didn't work that well, was messy, and smelled funny.

4. polo_princess (594) | 5 months ago | Shaving for me, i dont really like waxing its too painful and i think it can get a little messy sometimes. I used to use hair removing creams but they can be a little bit harsh on my skin and irritate it. Whe it comes to facial hair though i do use little waxing strips.

6. Binthu (3431) | 5 months ago | HI Anna,
There are many types and methods to removes unwanted hairs from the places of unwanted areas. Many of them used different methods and that all are will be varied from the women to women and girl to girl. In general there are Shaving methods, Laser method of hair removal, using waxing methods, using hair lotions methods, and hair cream methods. Most of the times the hair will be regrow even they are going to shave, but in some methods hair does not has more possibility to regrow, because hair can be removed by hair roots itself. When you are using the Laser technology it will remove the hairs with hair roots, so the hair does not has more possibility to regrow.
There is a hair lotion is called " NO GROW " which is a solution and to be applied to the parts of the body where you don't likes the hair, it will spoiled the hair roots and finally the hair comes out, so that is very easy methods and no more pains too. But if you are going to wax methods, it will gives much pains than any other systems of hair removal. So try to find out best method of hair removal and used that in order to enjoy your life with more beauty.
Have a great day.
Best of luck.

7. animegirl334 (1716) | 5 months ago | I like shaving. No matter how much the wax product commercials say they don't hurt, they always hurt. Shaving wouldn't hurt if I'm careful not to cut myself. When I get older, I might try laser hair removal so I don't have to keep shaving

8. playapal (804) | 5 months ago | Most of the time I shave. I have tried the creams and they really didn't work that well for me, stinky and still left some hair. When I lived in the states I would wax in the summer and shave during the winter. Waxing really does hurt regardless of what has been said, but it sure lasts a long time. I haven't found a place where I am living now that I would trust for the waxing process so I'm back to shaving.

anna728 (579) | 5 months ago | I had similar experiences with the creams- definitely also prefer shaving or waxing.

|
|
jlamela (2816) | 5 months ago | Oh yes, creams really had a bad performance in hair removals, I experienced that also. I prefer waxing because it can take up to the roots and takes a long time to grow. It has an even removal of hair actually.
| |
|
|
playapal (804) | 5 months ago | But wouldn't it be nice if those creams really worked! Just spread some lotion on, wait a few minutes and no hair! The idea is great it just doesn't work so well.
| |
|
|
anna728 (579) | 5 months ago | Yeah I sure wish the creams did work! That would be so nice and simple and painless... oh well. Maybe someday they will come up with something like that.

9. jlamela (2816) | 5 months ago | I regularly used waxing than shaving my hair in my legs. Waxing is nice because it can removed the roots while saving is only on the surface which grow thick and curly and very ugly to look at. Waxing has a more even grow and it took more than a month before the hair grow again.

|
|
anna728 (579) | 5 months ago | Yeah it is nice to not have to worry about it for a while if you wax.

playapal (804) | 5 months ago | Yes waxing is good, it lasts a long time, but boy does it hurt!

10. fifileigh (3031) | 5 months ago | i just waxxed my legs. i buy mine from the store and do it myself. i just do it front of the tv set so that i have watch something interesting while i do it and it goes by faster. you just spread a little bit of organic wax on your area, press a cloth strip on it in the direction for hair growth, and pull in the opposite direction quickly. it doesnt hurt. and it works better if the hair is very long. i only wax my legs. i prefer to shave under my arms because it is a very small area and takes only five minutes to do both. and i prefer the cream for the bikini area because that area is very sensitive for me. my facial hair is very fine like peach fuzz, but sometimes, if i feel like it, i just bleach it with facial bleach. so i like to do combination, for different areas. but i only wax my legs if i grow it out very long. if my leg hairs are short and i need to get rid of it, then i just shave.

anna728 (579) | 5 months ago | I also use different methods for different areas, or sometimes switch what I do. Well watching tv is one way to entertain yourself while you do it hah! I have tried store waxing kits to but it was one that didn't have to be heated up and it was already on a little strip. Sort of strange but it seemed to work fairly well.
