A dog always needs training to be ,well a good dog indeed.DOGS will be dogs until they aren't taught to behave well, respond well and a lot of daily day to day basis coir.
1.Have loads of your patience when training your dog for the first time.
2.Teach dogs when they are puppies i.e. around 2 months old otherwise
they are difficult to train, but not impossible.
3.Never beat your dog with anything.
4.Give a treat to them when they obey you or come close to you.
5.Always adore them when they come on seeing you.
6.Do not punish them after they misbehave.

Give more tips and tricks of dog training and of dogs behavior if you are an dog lover by heart.

Well, I learned a lot from this post. I hope I will come back to learn more. I was already going to keep pups at my home.

After such along time,I guess you would be having a pet,a dog as you had earlier planned.Tell me more if you have one or now dropped the idea to get one.I would surely recommend a Labrador,a German Shepard,a Boxer these three breeds are affordable I guess. The boxer is little more costly than the other two.

Dogs are very motivated by praise and reward. Your reward could be an affectionate pat or a food treat or some praise told to him in a happy voice. (dogs don't understand words - but they understand the tone in your voice. High voice is happy and low voice is like growling to a dog).

This means when you give a command and show your dog what you expect him to do, you should reward him. He will immediately realize that when he does the action you showed him he gets a reward.

You should never yell at a dog and you should never smack, hit or harm a dog. Dogs don't see violence as being punished. They think you're being aggressive for no reason and some dogs can retaliate in self-defense.

If you want to teach a dog that you're not happy with his behavior, like when a dog jumps up at you, try crossing your arms over your chest, look away and turn your back on him. Dogs HATE to be ignored. All they want is your attention. When your dog sits down and stops jumping, then give him plenty of praise and a reward for being good. He'll learn not to jump very quickly.

I have two German Shepherds who are both show dogs. The youngest dog has passed Grade 3 in his obedience training and is now in Grade 4. He is also just beginning his obedience training for agility and trials which will help his control and muscle tone when he's in the show ring too.

Raven good to hear from that you have two German shepards and they have good proper training too, those dogs are two lucky dogs indeed.your training and shows doesn't make them tired? Its a good thing to know that the training sessions have levels,I was unaware of this. What are the expenses of your dog's whole routine by the way.

A good initiative, I guess.Caring and sharing is a good mode of knowledge I guess.Particularly for the animals and dogs.Lots of doubts and related unknown things would be there for people who would love to make dogs their pets and letting them have a clear cut idea of their puppies or grown up dogs is very vital indeed!
I would surely check the new blog,by the way.Happy petting!thumbup
