I didnt give my name or anything. When that bit came up, I clicked on the back arrow of my main toolbar and a box came up asking me if I was sure I wanted to navigate away from the page. It also said, click Cancel to get your results... so I did. Its just a bit of silly nonsense but, apparently I am a clown

I know what you mean! I don't mind giving out my name and address (I get so much snail-mail junk-mail already), but my phone number is another thing. I've made the mistake in the past of putting my phone number into one of those "surveys", and then getting a million telemarketer calls later. It drives me insane to be called at my own home and solicited.

A lot of these "quizzes", to get the results, you HAVE to input all of this information, and then go through a bunch of ads in order to get through to the results. GPT sites usually have a similar "offer" like this - but they usually pay you like .30 cents or so to do it. You're basically selling your information for money; and not even enough money to make it worthwhile (if you ask me). I'd much rather stick to what we're doing here.. Discussions & tasks! Way less complicated, and way less risky.

Hi Pat. I have only ever given that information to online sites where I get paid to write articles...but no, I would not give that information to do a quiz, as I see no reason why that would be necessary. I think such info should be given with caution!

I don't know what is the need for such details for a funny quizzes and I tried to answer to one and also I was asked to enter these details also. Then as I find any more importance in the quiz program,I just quit them. It is not advisable to give such details.I don't know how mylot is allowing such thing. I have heard that mylot is not allowing revealing of our emails even in the tasks. But now here, everything is being asked. Hope they will change the questions.

Yes I agree with you its to much trouble to go thru too get the results. I was hoping it was going to be easier than having to give all that info.

I went to the option but I didn't take the quiz. I don't think it is a myLot thing because it took me to another website for the quiz. Nope, I'm not doing them.

The one time I looked, I did not see anything that motivated me to participate. I am sure it is a good way to appeal to some more people.I am just not one of them.Shoot, I rarely even do surveys. I did one the other day that has not payed yet, come to think of it. Usually I get bumped out of them. I guess the quiz is better than a survey as they do not bump you. But like you, I do not want to give out all my personal stuff.

Mylot is always introducing some new things that are not fancied by members here. I wouldn't do something that go deep into my privacy. I leave that out too.

Sometimes I want to know my favorite friends name,address phone etc. But I did not do that.Because that person may not like me that way. So now it's a fun for me to participate in their discussions.Let's enjoy myLot. Let savypat be remain out of my reach.

I agree with you, savypat. Giving out my personal information then being bombarded with pages of (mostly rip-off) offers just to get the results of a fun test is not my idea of fun. I get dozens of the same offers thrown at me on survey sites. On those sites, I don't get paid unless I click "yes" to at least one of the offers.

If that's what it takes to get paid for myLot's quizzes, I may start entering fake names and phone numbers so I don't get bombarded by telemarketers. I already get enough of those calls even though I'm on the Do Not Call list.
