It's hard to believe she is already gong to school. She starts kindergarten tomorrow, doesn't want to go. I hope she likes it. Do you have kids or other relatives starting school this year? How do they feel about it?

That is nice to hear. I hope she will become adjusted to it quickly. I do not know of anyone just starting school this year. This is my daughter's last year of school before she graduates though.

Hey Bd200789, I have a nephew starting kindergarten next week also, but he wants to go. I am not too sure if he is just trying to convince himself or not. He will be 6 and will be one of the oldest there, last year the system would not let him start because he turned 6 at the end of September. Strange, I thought they had to be 5 at least with in 60 or 90 days of the start of school. His mother never put him in a Pre-K and his social skills show it a little. I hope he does well and I am sure he will adjust soon enough, I just hope he behaves better in school than he does at home. His parents have spoiled him rotten and he gets what ever he wants. He is a lovable kid but very spoiled, the youngest and only boy of 4 kids.

Yeah! My son just started his lower kinder garden and he doesn't like it either. He just doesn't wanna go. But as he is attending regularly, i can see, he isn't that keen upon stressing that he doesn't wanna go to school. Well, your nephew will come around pretty soon.

Its always a fun time for kids to start school, it gets them ready for what is to become their school "career". My kids loved starting school because they got to meet so many new friends. We travel so our first son was the only one to attend public school, our daughter has been home schooled for the last two years.

my friend's cousin joined school in july. i have not seen this kid but have spoken to him many a times. he cannot even pronounce the words properly but has to go to school.. it seems like a burden on the kid. but the feedback i got from my friend was positive. the kid enjoys going to school and on returning he has lots to discuss about his school and new friends.
best wishes to your cousina
