Do you keep shifting your place of residence often?

There are some people (who do not reside in their own home), having the habit of shifting their house every now and then and making remarks like "this is my fifteenth house in the city', and so on. They are just not able to adjust with their house owners and each one is busy finding faults with the other, resulting in the change of residence. This is also the same for some paying guests also.
How about you? Do you change your residence often? Do you know anybody who keeps doing this? I know many people who do this.

I haven't moved around a lot. My boyfriend and I have been in this apartment for about 3 years in Florida. When we plan on moving to Chicago, we might get an apartment first and then move into a house from the area. I don't know people who move around that much. But I do know that being able to move around a lot is a perk of renting, it just depends on the situation.

I have stayed in the present house where I am staying for the last 50 years, since it is my own house. The only time I changed my residence was about 20 years back, when i was transferred and I had to go to another city. Even in that city I rented a house and stayed in it for 3 years until I was transferred back to my town.
I know many people who change their house, so that they can avoid creditors.

One of my friends family liked to shift their house often. Her father is a builder. My inlaws also like to shift the house and they live in their third house. I think it is expensive to build a new house and shift if you are living in your own apartment. If it is a rented house, I would like to be with the house for many years if I am happy with the house. Shifting involves a lot of work and money.

I know a lot of people doing this. I, for instance also keep shifting my place of residence. It is not because of faults but because of need. I tend to find place more affordable and near my work place, just to balance my expenses and my salary.

We don't move from house to house often at all. In fact, I've lived in this city since I was 3 years old and this is only the second house that I've lived in. The first being the house that my mom still owns, this one being the house that my husband and I bought last year. My husband doesn't like to move because when he was growing up he was a part of a military family and moved between Oklahoma and different cities in Germany. He said he's ready to put down roots.
However, one of my really close friends and her family are the people that have moved from one place to another. I've known them for 9 years and in that time they've lived in as many different places.
