Hey friends, Just want to know what it will take to inspire you to write a book? I am already inspired but I haven't come up with a good name for it yet. As I have all kinds of ideas floating around inside my head. Also in order for me to be inspired. I may need to have more knowledge on the publishing end. As I hear that it's a process which can pretty much be done for free these days, so what do you think. I'm not yet sure of all the steps and if anyone has knowledge on how to self publish feel free to share it here. Looking forward to hearing your responses!

I am a writer myself, and have used self-publishing websites in the past. But before I speak on that, I will address what you said about how you're inspired, but don't have a title for your book yet. The truth is, your likely not going to be sure of your title until you've at least gotten half-way through your book, or even all the way to the end and therefore know everything that's occurred. From that point, you can decide a title. If you try to think of a title beforehand, you might be limiting your creativity. Myself, I prefer to write series-style adventures, so I have a main series title which I write at the top with the number of the book. For example, BRETHREN CONFLICT 1, though I use Roman numerals to signify the position of the book. If you're not planning a series, I suggest you just write the book first, and then come up with the title. If you have to have a title, come up with a generic one. A book I'm re-writing that I finished when I was 16 was originally titled GALACTIC WAR, and was in a series. That title has now changed to a more ambiguous series title. As for self-publishing, if you just want to have some books on hand to give to friends and family, than that is the way to go. If you want to have a more public venue for your books, including such things as book tours and a chance at the NY TImes list, than your better off going with one of the big publishing houses. If it's the second option, write and re-write your book as much as you can to have a polished manuscript. Once that happens, seek out an agent using a book like WRITER'S MARKET, which is a yearly index of publishers and agents released by Writer's Digest. This book has come in handy for me, as has it's film market counterpart that has recently been published. If you decide to do self-publishing, I'd suggest www.lulu.com. It's a self-publishing website I've used in the past. You can create books of all sorts, CDs of original music, DVDs of family activities and/or your own film, etc. And you don't have to pay 600 bucks to have everything done. They give you the tools to do it yourself.

Wow my dear friend.. Personally I believe that persons who wish to write a book, they must be great in some ways.. I have an Idea of writing my Autobiography after 20 to 30 years when i finish succeeding my life with the Aims I have. The thing which Inspires me to write a book is, The traitors I faced till now whom i taught them as my caretakers, and the liars whom i met whenever i asked for an help. these both things hurt me a lot in my past life. I have lot of Aims currently and after succeeding all those, I will dedicate those victories to the actual dear ones, true friends whom I have now, Who i still have and whom I always have.. This is my plan of writing my book in very detail with all the interesting incidents I met. Thats about it my friend. If you are going to write, all I can say is Dont forget to send me one copy to my address. I hope, being your Friend, I get it Free.. Just kidding.. Business is Business. I will buy the Book by paying money. Okay? Have a nice time.. Happy Postings..

My depression actually inspires me to write, although I tend to write more poetry and it does tend to be a little 'black' and 'macabre' but I do find writing is extremely therapeutic. I am very creative and imaginative. I used to write books but never got them published because basically they were personal to me and I didn't feel they were up to publishing standards so I never pursued the publishing option. I have often thought about writing about men and abuse. No disrespect to the ladies but there are not many books out there that offer help to men who are abused mentally in relationships, I feel I have a lot to offer because of personal experience, but right now I not in a place where I can dedicate time to write. I need to sort myself out first, maybe one day though. Good luck with your book, I wish you well.

Hello, I used to write when I was in school.I also used to make up stories about people I saw sitting in the cat next to mine. I haven't done that in years though. A friend of mine told me I should write a book about my life. I wondered why he was so intersted in my life story because I didn't think my life was that interesting. I think my b/f should write a book on his l;ife. He has led an interesting life before we met.I have gotten email on book publishing but never really looked into it. Good luck on writing.
