RIP Ted Kennedy has died  

just saw this on MSN & was shocked to tears. They just lost Eunice alos..very sad indeed//Lori

It's unbelievable how many famous people have passed away this summer! I can't remember another time when so many well-known people have died in such a short period of time before.

I also think it's ironic that Ted Kennedy died of brain cancer. All three brothers died from something happening to their brains. Strange, huh?

My mother's cancer was not diagnosed until it had already spread to her brain. She had a very large tumor in her lung that had gone unnoticed until it was discovered that it had already spread to her brain. The first symptom of anything wrong was a slight dry cough which showed up only weeks before it was discovered in her brain. Then, it was only 3 1/2 weeks before she died. Her oncologist initially gave her 3 months, then shortened that to 1 month about a week later but she succumbed about 2 1/2 weeks after that. I'm glad that it took her so quickly and she didn't suffer much.

I know that once cancer is in your brain, it typically is not long before it consumes you. I think that Ted Kennedy must be one exceptional human being to have lasted so long with brain cancer! This is very sad news, however. Another icon has passed away.

Even with all that he did, does NOT mean a thing with the loss of Mary Jo Kopecne.

He like his whole family were wonderful people....caring about society...did you see how he called all the people from Mass. who lost loved ones in 9/11? CAn you believe that someone who care so much for people they never met? At least he is out of pain and anguish!

Yup! His death has been in all the news, and it's even made the political cartoons, probably moreso because he was the only Kennedy brother to die of natural causes, not from someone killing him. For a Kennedy, that's pretty freaking amazing, but it was still sad to see him go. Wasn't the Obama dog Bo, a gift from Ted Kennedy?
