Do you agree? 10 year old girl held for 6 hours in a police cell?

I am wondering why they held her for that amount of time? Was it to wait while a parent arrived for her? I think the time is a bit excessive and yes, she does seriously need a course of manners and politeness as her actions were dreadful. I'm not sure how your system works there, but her in the UK, police are not allowed to hold 'minors' that young in a cell and will usually take them to a side room until an adult arrives or straight to their home address. But on the other side of the coin, if she chooses to assault a person because he told her off and she is fully aware of her actions at 10 years old, then she, or her father, shouldn't expect her to be treated any differently than the boys she was arrested with.

two boys I hope they were charged with assault.where do kids get off now days thinking that if someone is rude to them they have the right to physically attack them?

It would appear that there was trouble getting hold of the parents so that they could take charge of their daughter. Perhaps the father should be more concemed that his daughter is keeping company with 15 & 16 year old boys who seem to have violent tendencies.
