In this quick growing and advancing world, call centers have become as common as retail shops.
Everybody today is looking for good pay and wants to spend the first few years of their corporate life in a callcenter and get some good amount in their pockets.
Do you also belong to this group of people? Are you also a call center employee who is stuck to their PC entire day?

Well I've been working in a call center since 2yrs. Its Really fun once you get a good company to work with. More over the pay package are more compared some other job of same category. I love working there since I enjoy the work.

I have no experience of working in call centre. I replied a job of a call centre but at last i was refused. I suppose my English did not support me to get the job.
However I felt frustrating of that I called some call centre and I found the staffs english were worse than mine. So I don't know the reason they can get the job.
By the way sometimes I found different staff can give you different answers for same question. i don't know why.
Anyway I think it's a good job. I don't think it's a computer sticking position. I would like to have the chance to talk with many different people.

If you are weak in English & grammar, then Luck plays a good role in getting selected. sometimes you might be able to answer the questions the ask perfectly at the time of interview. some times you make big mistakes, & sometimes the Interviewer overlooks your mistakes.
As I told earlier, it all depends on the company you are working with. If its not a good company, you will start to hate the job.
Its really fun talking to different people & listening to different conversations.

i was 2 yrs ago. i stopped because i feel it's not for me eventhough the pay is great and more benefits. i would still prefer working on the job that i want because it is easy to do it if love what your doing. besides working in a call center is a lot more stressful eventhough your just sitting and talking the whole shift. try it for you to know.

I would have never thought that it would be such a privilege to be a call center employee. In our world, it isn't very easy to find a job like that. That is, here in the United States.
There is one place near me that is considered a telemarketing company. It isn't really anything like a call center though, I don't think. You spend your day calling people and trying to get them to buy things. And you barely make minimum wage, so it isn't a very good job at all. Plus, the hours are only part-time. You only get to work about 16 to 20 hours a week.
I have, however, worked as a salesperson, and a sales manager. I did like this position. And it paid very well. Plus, the benefits were great. I had a car to drive, that the company paid for, plus fuel. And if I did really well, which I usually did, I received great cash bonuses and trips. It was a pretty good job, when the company was doing well!

Hi Murtuza,
I used to be a call centre officer when I was in Singapore (before I got married).
I work at 2 different banks in Singapore before and both are at Call centre.
My first job is at OCBC Bank as Customer service officer handling banking and housing loan enquiries through the phone. I was there for my 6 months contract.
My second is at DBS Bank as Customer Service officer handling credit card enquiries through the phone.I worked for there for about two years.
Actually I love being a call centre officer(customer service officer),at least I just need to face on phone and computer for the 8 hours work and it is a 5 days work. I have to work in shift hours and the latest was to work till 1AM.Weekend also required me to work, either on Saturday or Sunday.
I can interact with so many different level of people and I learn alot during my 2 1/2 years service at Call Centre.I don't like to do front officer at the bank as I will feel awkward to talk to customer face to face especially when handling fussy customers.
At leats talking at the phone, we are face to face to each other and I still can control my emotion and my face expression.
Working at call centre is really a good job,the pay is quite good and have allowances every month. Even if to work over the midnight, I could claim for the taxi fare back home.
I miss my job at Call Centre.Hope I can go back to workforce again.

I used to be life a few years ago. well, those groups of people in their Computers have been answering to all sorts of problems and customer complaints or services. the disadvantage of working in night shift is that you have to wear shades because the eyes can be irritating to the sunlight.at first I though they were just showing off
....Salary is way too cool
