I think we should checking the lawyer's background and profile. The most important thing to check is how many times that lawyers won on their cases. This is very importat because if we choose a wrong lawyer who is not competent, it will make us lose on the court. Usually a good lawyer has expensive rate but it is satisfaction guarantee with high success chance. I think there no money back guarantee on choosing lawyer, so no matter whether you won or lose on the court, you will still need to spend much money for pay your lawyer. So we must choose a right lawyer. Sometimes some cases need more than one lawyer to handle the cases. Usually there's a laywer team on such cases. More over, i think we also should know who is our enemy on the court and who become their lawyer. If we could find the weakness point of our enemy and their lawyer, and if we got smart lawyer, then we can exploit its weakness point to make our enemy lost on the court. Court is like a war zone. There's no conscience when facing our enemy on a court. There's only win or lose on such place. So, having a good lawyer is mean having an ultimate weapon. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

Hello to you. I think the way to find a good lawyer is to ask people you know for a recommendation, and then before actually hiring a lawyer, check out his/her credentials, and also talk to them in an "interview" kind of way before making a decision. @advokatku (4033)

There are a lot of lawyers in my area. I think that when choosing one, I would look at what they specialize in. Their price can sometimes be of great importance too. We must remember though, that we get what we pay for. I have hired a couple of lawyers before. One is a judge now so he no longer practices but when he did, he was very good! The other is in business with his son and does child support/ custody and I think disability..he is very expensive. I didn't like his communication though. I am the type of person that wants to understand.

Well advokatku, the notary around here is the one to actually trust as all the lawyer paperwork has to be notarised by him during the proceedings. Here it is important to know a good lawyer who knows the law but knows how to work round it in the most knowing way, as the law is more of a guideline than a law. For an example it would be no use at all using a lawyer who did not know that the real sale price of a house is always at least 30% more, if not more, than the paper sale price, otherwise we'd all be squandering unnecessary money in taxes. But the lawyer must know not to go too far or it will raise suspicions.
