If FOX news is not to be trusted..how much more so ABC, NBC & CNN? |
|
Ok...logic. If Fox news is not to be trusted because of a conservative slant to it's reporting, why is it not suspect to have a liberal slant to your reporting?
Seems to me the news should be the facts...and ANY slanting of the facts is suspect? Right?

patofgold23 (1670) | 5 months ago | I love the Spin Zone...though I hate O'reilly sometimes he tends to be rude... but i find him funny though...I got addcited to the channel when they were doing the coverage on Casey Anthony... and when ampaign started I was just getting updates on it.
when I switch to other channels, all I see is obama, obam, obama, that is why I got the impression other networks didnt play it fair.

2. cobrateacher (4271) | 5 months ago | Hi, Debra! What works for me is to check out a number of different outlets for news, keeping in mind the biases of each. We all know which are liberal,, which are conservative, and how difficult it is for any to keep the news reporting entirely unbiased. Reporters, newswriters, producers, etc., are, after all, only human!

debrakcarey (1351) | 5 months ago | That is pretty much my way too.
My dad told me, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
As I grew up I figured out what he meant....know what your enemies are up to.
I DON'T let what I hear and see around me be the ONLY thing I base my thoughts and opinions on.

cobrateacher (4271) | 5 months ago | I thought it was pretty widely known. There were so many people against so many things in Kennedy's presidency, it could have been any, all, or somewhere in between. That's been the case with every president we've ever had. But he, loke most, did far more good than people expected at the time. His assassination was the first big slap in the face to hope in American people.

debrakcarey (1351) | 5 months ago | After all the brainstorming about who killed him and why...movies and books. Even the Warren Commission.
I read a piece on the Federal Reserve and it's history...and the Kennedy brothers working to get it disbanded was just a blurb...but it caught my eye. I don't remember that ever being discussed as a reason for his death. And I've read a lot of conjectures about it...from his envolvment with Marilyn to the Unions doing it and of course Castro being a suspect. We'll never really know...but the fact that the Federal reserve is controled by those who want POWER...and who now control most of the worlds currency...it makes sense.

cobrateacher (4271) | 5 months ago | DebraK, Who isn't after power in politics? That's what it's about -- being elected so one can have the power to push his or her agenda. Whether that agenda is liberal or conservative, the point is still to have it in power. If the Federal Reserve had no power, what would be its reason to exist? I've known about this theory for a very long time. Maybe it's because I was a journalist for quite some time, and on the executive board of a Professional Journalists' organization.. We did get publications few ever saw outside the profession. I really don't remember if that's why I thought this theory was common knowledge. In any case, I doubt that the total truth will ever be known, or that people will ever stop giving out new theories about it.

debrakcarey (1351) | 5 months ago | Cobra..when I say they want power I mean to rule everyone...not just this little corner of the world...I mean THE WORLD. What do you think is meant by the New World Order?

cobrateacher (4271) | 5 months ago | Frankly, I think that stuff about a New World Order is another bit of BS. Shall I call it an urban legend?

debrakcarey (1351) | 5 months ago | That's fine, you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

There is way to much evidence...and the players themselves are now speaking openly about their plans...sorry you choose not to hear it.

3. TheGypsyDad (179) | 5 months ago | If you want to know more about the kind of news you are getting, just dig a little deeper and find out who owns the tv stations that run the news. Imagine what influence them owners might have on the news being delivered to your TV.

4. Destiny007 (4558) | 5 months ago | From what I understand, Fox News does give both sides of an issue, whereas the others do not.
Of course the Libturds hate anything that gives anything other then the Statist point of view.
The truth is that EVERYONE is biased towards their beliefs. Fox is at least honest about it whereas the others who are Liberal lie about their agenda.
Why do you think the term Lying Liberals exist?... It is because that's what they do.. they lie.
| |
| |
|
|
debrakcarey (1351) | 5 months ago | I'd much rather have BOTH sides. I feel I am intelligent enough to discern what is truth and what is a lie. Let's put that another way...maybe intelligence is not so necessary. If you make yourself aware of what is truth...the deeper issues of what is right and wrong...values, morals, ethics...when a lie is in front of you it cannot be mistaken for the truth. WE NEED to get back to what made this country GREAT...the values of our founding fathers.
Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters. Ben Franklin
Bank employees are trained to detect counterfit money by handling ONLY real money. And then when a counterfit bill is in their hand...it's immediately recognized as a counterfit.

The problem with protectionism is that your box sometimes can get small and sooner or later one will realize that there is a huge universe out there!

5. hornswaggled (1974) | 5 months ago | They all slant somewhat but I trust Fox more than any other station...and I"m not alone apparently. It's the top rated of all cable networks...and with good reason. They have people like Beck and O'Reilly to keep us entertained; to scare the bejesus out of us when we want to be complacent about our future!

6. mama_bear (599) | 4 months ago | in my opinion and i may come off as some conspiracy nut, but i do not trust all that i hear or read in the news because there is always slant.you will not always get the whole truth, depending on who is pulling the strings. remember the misinformation during the vietnam war. i would rather get onto the internet, because that is something that cannot be governed or censored or completely monitored, so there is a free flow of information, even that which the government or the powers that be do not want us to know. thank the maker for the information superhighway!

debrakcarey (1351) | 4 months ago | I agree, but I have experienced the 'oh, you read that on the internet? As if that makes it suspect. People want to be spoonfed...they don't want to have to think about what they're reading..and most times, they already have their minds made up. I can't count all the times I've read something, checked another source...and changed my mind about things. But you know what is said....us conservatives are closed minded.
