Really? Is Marriage OverRated?!  |

 I really do feel marriage is overated. I mean think about it. You get married usually because you love them. So why can't you just stay togetheir and not get married. You get married because of health benefits or insurance or social security. But isn't that just getting married because of money?
Than you have to work at keeping a marriage. So more work and more of a pain. Trying to keep you and your spouse happy. Is there really any happy medium?
What do you think? Do you think marriage is overated or do you truly believe that it's for the best? What's your thoughts on the topic.

Before the law of the rock is at what they believe in. Marriage for me is for securities reason that each partner's obligation to the family is fulfilled. The fact that you don't to get married and just be with them, it's like you're telling me that you don't want to get tied up in a some responsibilities.

 neededhope (391) | 4 months ago | Well I am married and I do have responsiblities. But I'm just wondering if it's truly worth it? I mean today you see so many more divorces than you would have years ago. And more people in unhappy unfilfulling relationships.
I do understand that it is taken from God's idea from the Bible. But so was Multiple marriages. So why don't we accept those? Or am I mistaken.. | |

2.  grandpa_lash (1687) | 4 months ago |  Most people get married because it's what's expected, especially if they are religious. We are taught that marriage is the ultimate commitment, so .... After 4 marriages I have become somewhat cynical about the "ultimate commitment" bit. In fact my current relationship is far and away my most successful, and we didn't bother with marriage lines.

| neededhope (391) | 4 months ago | If I had to do it again, but I don't regret getting married, I would prob. would have not gotten married. Would have just been with him. I'm still married to him but I think Marriage is more of a way to make sure that your gonna be taken care of. And don't have to worry about being lonely. But maybe not that last part. I've been lonely over two years in our relationship. So basically making sure I was gonna be taken care of.
And yes I believe you can have a successful relationship without marriage. My brother in law is one to prove that. He's been with the same woman nwo for 20 years. And they are still happy and still togetheir. So I know it's possible... | |

The wedding day was just a celebration and being married is the next step from fiance to husband. I love waking up everyday and seeing my wife, it makes me feel really happy. But marriage or not if you love someone then great be together. It's just a choice.

I think once things get serious it puts a toll thru your marriage and than things aren't fun. And than the romance dies if you let it. Or it just falls apart.. | |
