I think the world record is 620, set by "Houston" on August 31 this year. Who knows, it may have been topped already, and a lot of people would suggest that some of that count was a bit iffy, but even so, it's a huge number.

In real life, I give them a mouthful, and if it escalates, a punch in the face to those who are my size or thereabouts, and a knee to the crown jewels with the really big ones. That's because my emphesema makes it impossible to run away. But generally speaking, just standing up to them seems to do the trick. I've been told that in these situations I seem to swell up to twice my normal size and ... |

I've been a musician most of my life, and so my tastes have been added to as I have tried different styles along the way. But these days I find myself buying remixes of the performers I liked back then - like Eagles, Croce, Guy Clark, and so on. The major difference, if there is one, is that I have lost the snobbish attitude I (and a hell of a lot of other musicians) had to ABBA when they were ... |

I've had the duck and chicken thing happen. Our ducks were lazy buggers and used to slip their eggs into the chicken nests, and we had one chicken which raised a litter of chicks including one stray duckling, and the sight of her going spare whenever her "chick" went swimming could have me in hysterics for hours.

I would have imagined you are quite aware of the things I pointed out, but perhaps some others aren't, so ..... That, of course, assuming that more than 5% of MyLotters actually read the whole discussion.

I had to look up your profile to see if you are too young to remember them, but you're not. Then I checked out the ABBA site, and discovered that none of the 19 world-wide gold singles happened in the USA, so apparently your country was the only one in the Western world that didn't catch on to the ABBA phenomenon.

As for fish farming and the environment, you're correct, it's not always good for the environment, particularly when it is carried out like an agro-business. For instance, large shrimp farms were created in India by Western businessmen by buying up farming land (the locals could not compete e... |
