Only recently my twitter account was banned stating some undefined reasons. All came down to the point where I thought that someone had hacked into my account and was sending spams to my followers! I changed my password and contested to remove the ban. I had almost lost hope. But, to my surprise, they unlocked my account today!! Ia m so happy that they did! I want to thank twitter for this. Have you faced similar things on internet?

Hi Mimpi! I suppose that you must have felt very bad, when you would have noticed that your account has been blcoked . It is good that you fought for your cause and ultimately you won.. It proves that if we fight for a right cause, we may succeeed.Fortunately, I have never come across such a situation. Hope you are enjoying your stay over there. Deepak

That is redicululous that they won't tell you why your account was temporarily banned! A reason should always be provided so we can avoid doing the same again. I've been banned on one site before, for no reason other than other members didn't like what I had to say, which isn't a cause for having someone banned (according to terms and conditions of use). The matter was resolved when other members with admin voting rights voted to keep me because they didn't find what I had said to be offensive etc. On a parenting website, it is gauranteed you are going to talk about poop at some stage, and if you are good friends with other members, of course it is going to get a little silly!

That's indeed ridiculous but i am glad that its fixed now. We do ru the risk of getting banned on basis of just reporting and negative ratings! That's offputting sometimes!

That is great news Mimpi of your twitter account being reinstated. From what I had read, Twitter does have a reasonable policy of reinstating, only there are ways to go about approaching them in this regard. Unfortunately, a lot of other sites are not willing to have a relook at the reasons of suspensions and have an automated response system or take ages to even look at the request. Catch up with the tweeting

There is a lot of abuse on Twitter, which is why I haven't been active on it lately. Too bad, because it is a nice concept. Surely anyone would know that you are not an abuser, however. Glad you go it straightened out and be sure to add me as a friend there in case I ever get active again. My name there is JanetAnnJenson.

Hi mimpi! A similar thing happened to me on another site. It is a very shocking feeling to discover your account gone especially when you have no idea what you could have possibly done wrong! That's the Internet for you, unfortunately it is filled with untrustworthy and dishonest types. The main thing is clearing one's name in the end! Glad it was all sorted out, mine was too!

ya i have also got my twitter account back after 8 days whenever your accounts are banned then you should always request their admins to reinstat your accounts by sending them all the details about spammer who hacked your account and tell them that you will never do such mistake again.

Mylot is strict in its dos and donts but recently I discovered that one site is still more strict. What followed actually was funny. Out of curiosity I joined that site and realised later that if I am to get money from there I have to put my paypal id and I had forgotten. Thought as it is not yet too late why not open another account? But lo! the next day I tried to sign in there was was message instead " Your account has been suspended" . If I have been reinstated I am not sure for since then have not logged on to that site.

Hello Mim. I have not personally experienced this...well not yet! But most sites understand once you've explained that it was someone else messing with your account. I'm glad you're back on Twitter! Karen
