Hi Friend, how long did you work during the busiest day? I ever worked about 14 hours a day, and it lasted for 1 month. How about you? Any of you here enjoy his/her job so much that do not mind work overtime?

The longest days I've worked have been 7.15am. to 9.40pm. During that time, I have 2x 15min breaks and 2x 30minute meal breaks. For most of the working time, I am on my feet. I dont think I could do more than one of these long days at a time. Since my contract hours are part-time, I do not get paid at overtime rate for my extra hours. However, even at normal rate (£6.90ph) extra hours make a difference. I do the extra hours partly for the money and because I know what its like to work when we're short-staffed!!

Hi Wizzywig, Thanks for your response. I even do not get pay for my extra hours, but I have to take it if I do not finish my job in my working time, and in peak season, it's quite normal to work overtime. :(

Hi Med, I like that kind of job. I ever tried to find it, but it's hard. And in my present job, I can work long hours in peak seasons, while have few things to do in the off seasons.

Bad. I do not like overtime. The human body also can not stand. I've also often work in the unit. And I work with a lot of my cokkeagues, because the reasons for the resignation of overtime every day to quit altogether. Because work occasional overtime if necessary, then I would not mind. If you want to work overtime every day. Well, this unit will soon be no workers had. This is my own eyes in the unit to see.
