I think it one if the best tip for self-improvement.
What do you think?

Awareness of our limitations certainly brings us to the portal of self-improvement, but what we do with that knowledge offers the key to success. Simply knowing I'm a procrastinator is not enough. I must develop a means to manage my time, organize my life, and get things done.
Sometimes what may appear to be a shortcoming, at least in the view of others, may be turned into an asset. For example, a person perceived as opinionated might offer a wealth of knowledge on a variety of subjects, while someone with a stubborn streak would likely stick with a project until completion.
If we truly know ourselves and embrace our foibles and flaws, only then can we improve our quality of life.
As May Sarton said, "We have to dare to be ourselves, however frightening or strange that self may prove to be."
