Do you give BR to the only response for your discussion?

Hi,
Some of my discussions received only one response to date, although those discussions were raised for a long time. Those discussions were still unresolved, as i had not select the BR. How should i do? Select the only one as BR or waiting the best appropriate response? Do you experience this? How about you?
Happy mylotting!

I've got one very sad discussion with no responses (it wasn't very good), otherwise there's been more than one. however if it came up then i'd wait quite a while before giving the best response but eventually, providing it wasn't a troll response, give out the br.

Hi judith,
I think i am not make a mistake on your name. Do I?
Comparing with you, i raised some discussions only receving zero or one response. Mostly they are not intersting enough, but sometimes there may have some misunderstanding one those responses. Do you remember the first time we communicatede with each other. It is a discussion raised by me received no response. I am confused on that. and you help on time and told me make it more clear.
Go back to your response. Just like you, i also waited more time. But i think the hope is very little. I would give the only one the BR for his/her pity on my discussion.

When I have a sad little discussion that only receives one response I will indeed award that response the BR. Of course I will give it some time just in case others decide to comment later but after a reasonable time I accept the fact that the discussion was not that interesting and reward the one person who took pity on it and commented anyway.

Hi savak,
Your response is very pertinent. Although we want more responses on our discussions and choose the best one, i have to face the truth that those discussions are not intersting enough to be cared about. I think i would give the BR to the only response.

I always wait a while before awarding Best Response, but if I have only gotten one response and like it I absolutely will give that response the BR. Don't you think it deserves it? After all, it is the best response...it just happened not to have any competition!

Well I would give the only responder the best responce, because they deserve it for being so lonely.
. Also I don't like to keep my discussions unresolved. As I used to do in the past. If I was the only responder I would expect to be given the best responce.

If the best response was a semi-coherent response that stayed on-topic, I would definitely award them BR. On the other hand, if it wasn't, I would just not aware a BR for that topic. Call me ungenerous, but if it isn't good quality, it really doesn't deserve it.
