I think I'm a better listener than a speaker. But here's the analogy: a good listener makes a good speaker, just as a good follower makes a good leader. So I think you have a point. =))

Good or best listeners are not always or necessarily be best speakers. Speaking requires a different set of skills for effective projection of thoughts or ideas. The skills include eloquence, which many of us are lacking. There are people who become listeners because of the difficulty they find in assembling and presenting a coherent flow of ideas. Some of them ramble on and on, some go off topic because they think whatever they say is relevant to the issue, and some simply talk in a manner not understood by the audience. Good listening skills are essential to many of us if we want to become effective speakers. Nevertheless it cannot be denied that there are natural speakers, who can convince the audience with blatant lies.

To be a good speaker,One must be a good listener. God has made two ears and one mouth because one can listen more and speak less. The people who really want to succeed should listen more so that he can grab more knowledge.Leaders should first be a good listener than automatically they become a good speaker. Sure.. Best Listeners can give voice very well, when needed. Have a nice time! Happy Postings!

Best listener not always good for speak. Might be if we listening as well so we can think what should being said. I'm less speak and if something out from my mind then I turn it with our mouth.

Hi there, Not necessarily that all the good listeners are good speakers too. I have seen many people who are too patient while listening and thereby giving feedback too but when it comes down to speaking they fail miserably.

People who are good listeners tend to be more open-minded than those who do not listen well. And, those with open minds are better critical thinkers. However, critical thinking involves the analytical evaluation of all the pros and cons. Therefore, a good listener would not automatically be the best spokesperson because they would not concentrate on the positive to the exclusion of the negative.
