Sad songs  

For me the song that makes me cry is Wicked Game by Chris Isaac. This is really involved with some hard time in my life but still this is one of my favorites. It reminds me of my friends.

I was a musician and songwriter. I would cry when I sing my song, which tells of the days with my girl friend, which ended in separation, and lost contact until now.

"Angel wings" by Ashton Shepherd is a really sad song that never fails to make my voice quiver when i try to sing it :'(

Cry? No (get a man to admit that he will cry when he gets emotional!). Reminisce sadly on what was and what might have been. OK.

Back in 1981 & 1982 I had a relationship with a lady which might have been amazing, but ended up with us splitting up twice (the first time acrimoniously, the second time, after finding each other again, inevitably).

There was a song by the American group called the Stylistics - You Make Me Feel Brand New. When we first met, that song title said so much to both of us. If I ever hear it on an oldies channel on radio, it still recalls the hopes we had, and the might have been that eventually never was.

mine is a song from our local singer Gary V. entitled TAKE ME OUT OF THE DARK..

these are the lines that really hit my heart.. it made me guilty in blaming God for the misfortune im into..

The song that always brings a lump into my throat and tears in my eyes is "On My Father's Wings" from the movie Sword in the Stone. I first heard that a few months after my dad died. The beautiful melody and lyrics has got me tearing up ever since every time I hear it.

"I would fly on my father's wings
To places I have never been
There is so much I've never seen
And I can feel, his heartbeat still
And I would do great things
On my father's wings ..."

What successes I achieve today, I always have this tendency to wonder, "Would he have been proud of me?"

I would say Landslide- By Stevie Nicks. My father passed away, and that song I dedicated to him soon after. I found out she had wrote and dedicated the song to her own father. It's such a good song, and it always makes me tear up.
Another one I can say is Gordon Lightfoot-Sundown. That was one of my dad's favorite songs and everytime it comes on the Oldies radio station I cry. :(

For me the saddest song ever has to be candle in the wind by Elton John. I always cry every time I hear that song. Especially because it was sang at one of the most saddest moments in human history.. death of Princess Dianna.

A song called 'Homesick' by a Christian band called Mercy Me (I THINK its by them anyway!)

It makes me think of my best friend back in England. I am in America because I married an American, I'd give anything to go home because I hate it here - not because of America but it just isn't the right place for me. I've been here 5 years and my choice is really stay or leave my husband which isn't an option so I'm stuck.

So this song makes me cry every time...

(going back for a holiday on Wednesday for 2 weeks...yaaaay! See if I get back on the plane to come back....)
