I'm sure most of you have heard this expression before "Pinch me. I must be dreaming". It comes from the assumption that people can't feel if someone does something physical to them in a dream like hit, pinch, hug and so on.
Well I have experienced quite differently.
Most recently I had another one of my flying out the window dreams. I decided to explore what I thought to be an empty abandoned house but there was a man there who scratched up my face. I just hovered there in shock and I could feel the burning from the scratches. When I woke up I fled to the bathroom mirror but nothing was there.
Ive also in the past felt people grabbing at me, kiss me, and even slap me
I wonder is this a normal thing. Does anyone else ever feel physical contact in their dreams? I also wonder is it actually feeling or is it just my memory of how these things feel triggering them? What do you think it could be?

There were several times I pinched myself while dreaming and it didn't feel like a pinch, just a kind of touch. But then there were dreams when my arm was being mangled and when I woke up I found that I was sleeping on it wrong, and it hurt for hours on afterward.

I've had one of those dreams too. Mine was being chased by a killer in an old train station where I'd hide beneath one the trains and get sweaty and fearing. Then I'd run and he'd stab me. After that, I'd be on top of this old gothic church with no clothes on top then a man would ask me, would you embrace me or die. Then I'd say yes. Then I'll be floating like hovering or flying in a grassy field and I'd see the church below me, but beside me flying were large bats. I've had this dream several times.
