Muffins  |
|
I have now tried 3 muffins recipes and all 3 haven't been that good, the muffins just taste like normal buns and look like them too.
I'm looking for my muffins to look something like the ones you buy in the shops.
So can you please share with me your best muffin recipes.
Many thanks
Anne18

1. thyst07 (1068) | 4 months ago | I would suggest that you go to the Allrecipes website (just google "Allrecipes" and you should find it). It's a wonderful recipe database that I use in my kitchen all the time. Just search for "muffins" on the website, and you'll get thousands of recipes. One of the things I like about Allrecipes is that users can leave ratings for the recipes as well as comments and suggestions for how to make the recipe work better. You can sort the recipes in a search by rating so that the highest-rated ones show up at the top. I've gotten some delicious muffin recipes there.

Pumpkin Muffins
Ingredients
* 1 cup pumpkin (canned "or" fresh) * 2 eggs, slightly beaten * 1/2 cup water * 1/2 cup melted shortening * 1 3/4 cups flour * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1 1/2 cups sugar * 1 teaspoon baking soda * 1/4 teaspoon baking powder * 1 teaspoon cinnamon * 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg * 1/2 teaspoon ginger * 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions
1. Blend pumpkin, eggs, water, and shortening in large bowl. 2. Sift together remaining ingredients and add to pumpkin mixture. 3. Fill greased muffin tins about 3/4 full. 4. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes or until set when touched.

4. byfaithonly (6302) | 4 months ago | No help here - my favorite muffin recipe is Jiffy Mix, love the blueberry, dump the box in a bowl and I think milk and egg, mix, pour in muffin tin and bake... Last 15 or more years I've become the boringest and laziest cook in the world:(

lilybug (15321) | 4 months ago | The pumpkin muffins are really good. They are moist too. I am sure if you like pumpkin at all you will love them.
I like that Jiffy stuff too. Blueberry is my favorite one. Funny because I really do not like blueberries. The blueberry in those it not real blueberry though, so I guess that it why I like them.
