Do you ever make fruit salad as your "vegetable" with dinner? Sometimes I like to have fruit salad instead of a cooked vegetable or a tossed, green salad but our fruit salad always ends up the same... apples, bananas, Mandarin oranges, raisins and walnuts. I have thought about mixing other fruits but don't know how they would taste together. Things like cantaloupe and blueberries or kiwi fruits.
What do you put in your fruit salad?

Well I wouldn't say we use it as our vegetable. If we have a fruit salad, chances are we have a vegetable dish somewhere, so it's never replaced our vegetables. But sometimes we prefer to have a fruit salad instead of a regular salad. Fruit salad is great though. We usually put peaches, strawberries, kiwi, bananas, apples, and every kind of berry we have in the house in our fruit salad. I love it.

I never eat much of fruit salads though but whenever i have to make one i try to get it made deliciously.I try to cut small pieces of non messy fruits in my bowl and freeze them for sometime then take them out and put some condensed milk in it, some dry fruit powder, jelly pieces etc and mix them and freeze it for another half an hour and serve they sound crispy and delicious.

We've done fruit salad before, I've used it as dessert and as an appetiser. Its good both ways. I usually put grapes, red and green, apples, kiwi and some bananas.

I love fruit salad a lot and whenever we have this with dinner I prefer to take only the salad to eat because first of all it is very tasty, then it is a balanced one, and finally it is very light to have for dinner too. I like madarin, raisins, walnuts, cheese sometimes, kiwi, and the rest is always welcome in my bowl.

I don't think I have replaced the veggies with fruit salad yet. However I do enjoy a quick fruit salad. My favorite is banana, blueberries and strawberries. Then, what I like to do is add a little bit of sunflower seed and dump some peach yogurt over the top! It's the perfect bedtime snack!

I used to prepare fruit salad for dessert. I put pineapple tidbits, cherries, peaches, cantaloupe, coconut strips, and a can of cream. Serve a little chilled. Great for parties, too.
