which company manufactures the best laptops

I think Compaq is the best laptop I have had mine for 4 years and still running.

I think compaq and apple. But the most company that i like because it was the product is apple. I use compaq 1 year but the battery cannot charge for a long time.

Hey there! For me, the best manufacturer of laptops is Toshiba. Laptops by Toshiba rarely break down. They are built to last. If ever they do break down, the certified service center will take extreme care of your laptop while they service it. So far, my girlfriend's laptop has been with her for 4 years and it hasn't broken down once. She's a programmer so she uses it a lot. The battery life is great. Since it's an older model, the battery life is quite shorter than the newer releases. Her's averages 2-3 hours on one full charge. The newer ones go around 3-5 hours on one full charge.

i think dell is the best in overall cos they gives the best in low price to their customers.
their product is nice in model, configuration etc.
As service is low in some areas but they give on site warrenty customer can give a call to customer care and they will get in touch to customer directly.
Life is also good and performence in nice.
battery gives backup for 3 to 4 hours.
this is nice product for anyone.

I personally prefer Dell. I always get computers through Dell because they are reliable and give me good service.

1. The product quality, for the most part, has been very high. Their laptops are not as durable as I'd like and the one that I take to school every day falls apart about once every three or four months. I wish it would last longer, but at least they fix it every time.

2. There has not, yet, been a time when they have been unable to fix a computer problem. I always get the extended warranty, so they fix everything for years afterward. I can't believe they offer such a good deal on that, because my computer breaks so often that it would be a pain without such good service.

3. Although the computers can sometimes break easily, they are always fixed, and as a result often have good, new, fresh parts. This contributes to the product life, making the computer often last very long compared to other computers I've used. My laptop is currently in its 3rd year and it has barely slowed down at all. I am very happy to have it working so well still.

4. The batteries at Dell are probably the weak point. The basic battery that came with my laptop was very small, but it had an incredibly short life. The battery that the replaced it with when the old battery broke is absolutely gigantic--it makes the back of the computer stand up about an inch--but it really helps the computer stay on for longer. When I first charged this battery, it could run the computer for almost 5 hours. Now I'm lucky if I get 2 hours from it, but still it is a moderately good battery. It just has problems with holding its charge even after a very short time.

5. I think Dell is just the best overall, and those are all my reasons above. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but I seriously think you should take a look at Dell if you want to buy a laptop.

In such a competent IT profession world that we live in now, I have to say there really isn't much difference between all these companies except for few minor things such as service response and battery life... there is no water and ice difference in the build and hardware quality, it all depends on the price range you see, i haven't used a variety of laptops much but yeah i have found dell laptops to have a nice battery life and if you ask me what i like then i have to say i like HP and DELL both, i am currently using an HP laptop and it is running nice even after more than 2 years and i like it, maybe i will upgrade my RAM to 4GB someday!

Not sure if you may have heard as Acer being a "while line" brand or so, and thus theoretically being the lower quality, but in the current days it's all about the same, it's just the exterior that changes.

None of these companies is manufacturing the components. CPUs are from Intel/AMD, GPUs from nVidia/ATI, RAM from someone else... they just puzzle it all together, put it in a casing from the brand and give it to you with a boost in the price tag.

Now, what you may have some differences in is the post-sale services, and that you may want to take in consideration when buying the laptop, where you may want to judge any offers being made at the time.

well there are a few good ones like Dell which is one of the best and also Lenovo. And i think now a days even Acer is giving nice performance. I have seen no one complain with Lenovo. Dell some times do give problems but then the warranty is ncie and they solve the problem very quickly.

ya compaq laptops are best in market as they have good internal settings.
and dell have some beautiful models.
so overall compaq is market leader.
