Is anyone watching this? I stumbled upon it looking to see something on tv that was interesting. It's explaining the recession in a kids level somewhat. I'm thinking that it's good for most families to see during these times. I think it neat that Seseame Street stepped up and is doing this to explain to those kids who don't know what it's like to go without or even settle for less than they are used to.

It amazes me the attention to detail the folks in charge of Sesame Street show. I don't think I've ever seen a kid's show that has always tried to stay so topical. It's an excellent idea to show kids how blessed they are by showing that other children may not have as much. And maybe it will show children whose families are struggling that they are not alone. That other kids out there are going through the same thing.

It's a good thing for them to do. Parents can be too stressed out to have the patience to explain such things to their kids, although it would be better coming from them. But at least the kids know that they're not the only ones whose lives are going downhill. It's just too bad that the children have to suffer when adults do stupid things.
