Not necessarliy. Some people don't feel the need to make their relationship "legal" to legitimize it.

If she wants to get married then yes, she's a fool.

I don't think she's a fool for staying if that's what she wants. Some women are content with just living together. As long as both partners are committed and loyal to one another, there shouldn't be a problem.

Just who is living with whom here, is he living with her or is she living with him or are they living together mutually in a joint place. If he is living with her then she's a fool for letting him unless he pays all the bills but why on earth should she want to marry the fool if he can't get his act together to get his own place to live in.

I myself is an example of domestic partnership. And Im telling you its not bad at all. Nowadays, we should be practical and wise.
I'd like to say that me and my partner have been together for almost 5 years now and yet he never offered marriage to me. although he offered me his undying love and affection, I still believe that what he has given is already enough for me.

Not always depends on the arrangement. Some people are happy being unwed & sometimes it has it's benefits especially if you live somewhere that recognizes a common law marriage.

I had a friend who would not marry the father of 2 of her kids because she could get more help being a single mom than a married one from the government.

But I know another couple that have been togeather 25yrs, had one child who's grown and still hasn't married him. Siting reasons like he needs to propose in a suitable manner & they need to have the money to pay for even the wedding license.

Really it depends on the couple & what their goals are in their relationship. I lived with my hubby 2 yrs before we got married, dated 6mo prior to moving in togeather & getting engaged.

This reminds me of that movie "Shes just not that into you". The girl lived with her partner for so long and always talked about marriage. HE avoided the subject, til she finally gave up and moved out. After some thought though, she decided to talk to him. She basically told him that she had been content all these years, so why not now? Why give up something good? IT made him think. By the time they moved back in together, they made an arrangement. He wasnt allowed to have these "pants" she hated in the house, in return shed leave marriage off the table. But oh to her surprise, he breaks the promise and brings the pants home. And guess what she finds? Not only a ring, but the guy she loves, down on one knee, proposing to her. I guess by letting it go, shhe got what she wanted.
