Do you eavesdrop? Have you ever been accused of such?

There are several occasions when my fellow teachers would discuss some matters (personal ones) in their cubicles, and in our faculty lounge, the cubicles aren't divided by walls, they're just divided by partitions which makes it easy for the other person in the other cubicle to hear conversations.
At one point, I can't help but hear what they were talking about, the problem was one of them got up and went over to my space and told me I shouldn't be eavesdropping at other people's business. I was shocked to hear such a remark, and simply told her that I wasn't and neither was I paying attention to their business. She went on back to her space and was mumbling about something and I couldn't help but be furious that time (so early in the morning at that!)

I do try not to, as I know that it is not the right thing for anyone to do, and I know that I really wouldn't like it if I found out anyone was trying to listen to a conversation I was having uninvited. I have never done this intentionally, but sometimes people start having private conversations louder than they should be and then I can't help it if my ears do what god intended them to do!

I had been accused of eavesdropping as well and like you, it gets me mad especially because it is not intentional and you just cannot help it because it's either their voices are too loud or they intentionally want to let you hear what they are talking about just so they could accuse you..funny but it appened to me.
